Welcoming hosts, very hospitable, home made scones on arrival! Lots of helpful tips about places to eat and visit in the locality. Great location in between the lakes and the dales. Place was homely and comfortable. Highly recommended!

absolutely loved the place- both the village and the house. very comfortable stay,warm house,which was amazing as we came back drenched from our walk. drive through Fells is quite surreal and a lovely experience,and Orton is a one beautiful,40-ish min drive away from Keswick- fantastic place for food and spot of shopping as well as beautiful Derwent Water and nice parks for younger children. we will be back into the area,and certainly look out for Joanna's house in listings,it was a great stay in a homely and pretty house with a good feel to it. we also appreciated well equipped kitchen with sharp knives and a good size kettle!

This was a perfect stop for a one night stay during our C2C journey. It was very clean and comfortable, with plenty of space for a couple to spread out. We enjoyed its proximity to the grocery store and the fish and chips restaurant. Everything about the home was clean, modern, and comfy and it was a nice break from the B&Bs and an opportunity to do some laundry. The owner was very responsive and kind.

Tara was a wonderful host, they were so quick to respond and instructions were very clear of how to get to property. Kitchen was well equipped with new appliances and everything you would need. Very peaceful location. Thanks for lovely stay.
