The Old Post Office Apartment

Mary‘s accommodation was absolutely wonderful., warm, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated. I felt very welcome, especially with the generous food. Thank you so much. The place is extremely well equipped (even an air fryer!) The bed was incredibly comfortable. I slept so well. The bathroom was also a highlight, with a large shower, lovely warm water, and a heated towel rack, such a treat! I also appreciated the smart little details, like the bedside light switch. The town itself is extremely charming and very clean, and the whole area is just beautiful – peaceful, well-kept, and perfect for walking or hiking. Mary was a pleasure to write to – so kind and caring. Thank you Mary so so much 🩷

If I could give this property 15 out of 10 stars, I would. It is absolutely stunning- the location and the house are both fantastic. If only we could have stayed longer- Derek and Orlagh have thought of every detail and we couldn’t have felt more welcomed.
A modern bathroom features a glass shower enclosure on one side, with a wall-mounted showerhead and control unit. A stylish pedestal sink is positioned opposite, accompanied by a circular mirror. The space is accented by navy walls and gray floor tiles, providing a clean appearance.

Lovely big family home in pristine condition, which was ideal to house my family for my wedding in Tyrrellspass. Great location to easily access the nearby villages and right by the lake!

Shancon lodge and Stables

We had such a wonderful stay with Carol and Sean! The place is absolutely amazing for kids-my son had the time of his life. Sean was incredible with him, taking the time to show him all the animals and making him feel so special. It’s totally geared towards little ones, which made it so much easier for us to relax and enjoy ourselves. The accommodation had everything we needed in the kitchen, and there were some really thoughtful touches left for us that made us feel so welcome. Carol and Sean clearly put a lot of care into making this a perfect family getaway. Can’t recommend it highly enough—we’ll definitely be back!
A two-story residential building is presented with a combination of brick and painted walls. The triangular roof features a chimney, and several windows are visible, each framed with wooden detailing. A set of stairs leads to the main entrance, which is flanked by wooden doors.

We had a fantastic stay in Mullingar and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Julie’s house was exceptional — spacious, comfortable, and immaculately kept. The location was perfect, just minutes from the Equestrian Centre where we were competing. Truly a 5-star experience from start to finish!
