The place is ideal for a few days of extreme tranquility or for hiking in the areas adjacent to the property. The village of Velo is small but offers everything you need for a short stay, grocery stores, butcher shop (we bought excellent meat), bakery, pastry shop, pizzerias and typical restaurants nearby.

We can’t thank Francesca and Mauro enough! They took us in on short notice during an emergency and even adjusted their private schedule to make our check-in possible—welcoming us warmly with a bottle of wine. At first, we were hesitant to stay next door to the hosts because of bad experiences with other hosts in the past. But our skepticism was completely unnecessary! Francesca and Mauro gave us our space while always being available when we needed something. The house was impeccably clean, and despite arriving with two dogs and a cat, they were incredibly understanding and relaxed. We felt completely at home! We stayed in February, and the house was always pleasantly warm—they even provided an extra heater for the bathroom. The location is ideal: peaceful and surrounded by beautiful nature, with nothing but an owl to be heard at night. Verona is just a 15-20 minute drive away, supermarkets are easily accessible. We have stayed with at Leonardo’s place already the second time. The apartment is spacious, has everything you need and Raffaello (Leonardo’s father), who lives in the house is super attentive, helpful and just a pleasure to share the house and garden with. We came with two small kids - love that we can go for a walk with the stroller around the house and that there is a small super market and a couple of really good restaurants in very short waking distance. Highly recommended!!

Massimo is a great, helpful and kind host. The house is spotless and very comfortable. The area is very romantic and peaceful. I wish we could have stayed longer!
