Monthly Rentals in Cold Mountain

Overall the place was nice and Brendan was very accommodating to our last minute reservation. Beds were comfy and all the rooms were like the pictures. The road is treacherous leading up to it with several areas very washed out and asphalt breaking. Also we were responsible for removing the trash from the property and not just to an outside bin but to a drop off down the road which was inconvenient. There’s an additional $50 charge if you don’t take your trash off. Also required to start a load of laundry before leaving. What is the cleaning fee for?

We had an extended stay and had a fabulous experience. The cabin was perfect for us. It was just the right size. We cooked most of our meals and enjoyed having fires on the deck and by the creek.

This is the fourth time we have rented the cabin. Three times were for five weeks each. We love it there and could not ask for a better host, very responsive to our needs. Each time we return there are new additions to the property, this time a lovely fire pit and stairs leading from upper parking lot to cabin. Very peaceful and quiet with a pond on the property. We look for the deer and turkeys on the road to the cabin.

Life’s Escape was exactly that. It was the cabin I had been picturing in my head when I thought of a much needed retreat away from everything. The views from the back deck and the bedrooms are almost too good to be true. The fireplace was a nice touch on a chilly night. And the roads to get to the cabin were manageable in a small sedan, though we recommend getting back before dark because many roads are narrow and completely dark. Blue Ridge and Ellijay are close by, but time spent inside the cabin was my favorite part of the trip. I wish we could have stayed longer. I can’t wait to go back!
