Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Choctawhatchee Bay

This is a beautiful home! A really fabulous find on Airbnb! It’s obvious that Kevin and Jennifer have put a lot of thought and effort into making this a great experience and it was! From the incredible welcome guide, with everything we needed to know, bikes, and exercise equipment in the garage. It’s part of a lovely safe neighborhood right on the beach, with just a short two minute walk to the sand. Everything we needed was provided, with plenty of bathroom amenities and even cooking items. The coffee was delicious and the beds were comfortable! We all slept amazing, and enjoyed so many long walks on the beach and around town. It is a super local area, with amazing dining options. It is rare to find hosts as helpful and thoughtful as Jennifer and Kevin. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this home for your next stay! It far exceeded our previous experience in the same neighborhood in another home.

We loved our stay at Gigi's getaway the communication was outstanding the cleanliness was amazing. We were here for a week for world series and wanted a home feeling. This was the perfect place and the location was close to everything .The hot tub was great ending to the evenings very clean. We debated on a condo or home and so glad we chose this home. Thank you Zach and Paola we would definitely book again, so if your looking I promise you want be disappointed !!

This was our first family vacation that all of our children were able to go on in a past few years. The house and location were wonderful. I was hesitant cause we normally stay in a different area while in Destin. But this house was perfect for all of us. Close to anything and everything you could want. But yet the peacefulness that we all wanted. The pool and fenced in back yard were perfect for all of us and our 2 small dogs. Definitely was a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ vacation for all of us.

We loved this house and the back yard for our little dog was perfect. Can’t ask for a better host than Yubeiri! She is super responsive and accommodating. She made sure the bathrooms and kitchen were equipped with soaps and necessary paper products upon arrival, which was very thoughtful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this lovely home! We loved the area and proximity to restaurants, shopping and the amazing beaches. Beautiful stay; thank you, Yubeiri, for your hospitality and accommodations!

Had a great time at Hazel’s- spacious ,private, great location- my favorite spot was the backyard in the morning under the pagoda listening to the mockingbird run through their repertoire of songs-yes there are dogs occasionally barking but for 1-2 minutes and the owners have them under control. Hazel is a superb host in communication and recommendations ! Would highly recommend this place to anyone that wants a central place to fan out-we hit 4 different beaches/7 cities in the area-Niceville has a great boardwalk you should try out at turkey run- MJs coffee-not great coffee but delicious! quick breads; for coffee -try black rifle coffee shop-don’t miss Peppers for fresh ingredient Mexican dishes including fish! We liked ft Walton beach best -mostly locals and not crowded-access pt 2-but Destin is the place for action-and don’t miss Mcguire’s pub-incredible atmosphere and eats-lots of art in the area-we also drove to Panama beach and beach city-lots of fun with the locals!thanks Hazel

Natalie came in clutch when we had a reservation fall thru last minute elsewhere. She was extremely responsive and willing to help. The facility is top notch as described, easily accessible and easy to find. It couldn't have been any better. Thank you for the great experience. We recommend 5 stars!

Kristen was a very responsive host! The house was well equipped with everything that we needed. She threw in a lot of extras- beach toys, golf cart, etc. The house was full of amenities. It’s a quick, easy walk to the beach. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Also enjoyed grilling on the patio. The house is 3 levels. The master suite is on the 3rd floor so this house is best for people that can handle going up and down a lot of stairs. The community is clean and super quiet. We had a great vacation!

My family of five enjoyed our stay at Ryan’s place. The photos don’t do this place any justice. It is so clean, beautiful and comfortable. The view from the balconies is serene. We sat on the balcony at night and watched firework shows as well as listen to live music from a local restaurant. It’s located directly on the harbor walk and walking distance to most attractions. My children enjoyed the local beach as well as the shared pool. Ryan is definitely a Superhost! He was very responsive, friendly and provided recommendations. Ryan’s place will be our first choice when we visit Destin again!

Great place, clean and easy to access. very close to margaritaville and access to Okaloosa pier and entertainment. had everything we needed. just needs a full body mirror! thank you!

Vicky was very responsive and helpful with any information I needed. He provided recommendations and directions prior to my arrival. Very accommodating and the space was large and fit my family of 4 perfectly!

This place was perfect for our family vacation with our extended family. Admittedly, I was weary when I saw that there was a short walk to the beach because we love beach front, but the walk was just that - very short and a complete non-issue. The backyard is gorgeous and set up wonderfully for both daytime and nighttime. All in all an absolutely wonderful trip.

We enjoyed our family vacation here and would recommend to everyone! The location was on point close to all the needs including shopping malls and all. Super close to the beach as well and the private beach area was a super plus! The back yard was to die for and we spent many hours enjoying the pool , grill , and fire pit! Parking was plenty for three cars. We had a family of ten and there was plenty of space! Everything we needed for cooking was present in the home! Any questions I had Brian was a quick response away. Will definitely be staying here in the future trips when we have a smaller group. If only Brian had a place for 20 people we would definitely rent from him! The whole area was beautiful and very family oriented! We loved it can’t say that enough ! The beach is mine and my family’s happy place and home away from home. U definitely felt at home here! ❤️❤️

This home was everything and more! The outdoor oasis was amazing. Plenty of seating, everything you need for the beach. Plenty of floats and things for our grandsons to enjoy in the pool. The home is beautiful, has everything imaginable you will need. We cannot wait to book for 2026. The location and everything was perfect so quiet on a corner lit. Meredith was an awesome host! She was very responsive, descriptive and even gave excellent recommendations. This space felt like home for my family and I and had everything we needed. The home was clean and beautiful just like the pictures. The location was quiet and within 5 minutes to grocery stores and shopping. The beach was a 9 minute walk and had an easy access. 10/10 recommend booking with Meredith!!

The place was in a perfect location for access to the beach and surroundings. Townhome was stocked with everything we needed. Enjoyed the golf cart and all the beach extras in the garage. No complaints, just great memories!

Great place to stay in Niceville right on the bay. Melissa's Place was clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony overlooking the bay watching the boats come in.

We had a great girls getaway! The house was exactly as described and in the perfect location. Would definitely stay here again. Jackie and Rob were very responsive to questions and were very accommodating! Loved our stay!

The house is beautiful. A great place for 5-8 couples. You’ll need to bring extra toilet paper and paper towels as well laundry and dishwasher pods but knowing that you’re ahead of the game. There is no house surround sound like the photos show so bring speakers. Make sure the pool and spa heater work right when you get there. The golf cart is awesome and gets you to the beach. The beds were comfy! We loved it and would rent again for sure!

Nice place to stay with family and friends…. We was in 4 adults and 3 kids, and it was perfect, the fact of just have one bath may take us little tight, but the rest of house was really spacious…. Great outside space, to parking and/or play with kids. view of Sea from the house is spectacular. We could stay for a lot off days, the house is very comfy and welcoming…… They also have one side gate that work well to come in with boat/jetski or trailer……If I could describe this property in one word it would be: AMAZING.

Such a safe and walkable location. We were able use the gym, walk to restaurants, and easily carry chairs on our walk to the beach (which isn’t 100% necessary as there’s chairs for rent on the beach). The kitchen had everything we needed + more. Pool was wonderful and beds slept beautifully! I can’t find anything negative to say about this location - Dawn was a gem to work with.

We loved our stay at the Traveling Mermaid. The house and property were amazing. The outside living space, pool and view were better than described. The house is beautifully decorated with and very comfortable. Paintings through the house gives its a fun, eclectic feel. My son enjoyed paddle boarding and our dogs loved exploring the backyard. Shelley and Dahl were very responsive when we had any questions. We have been visiting the area for 15 years and this is one of our favorite rentals.

Great place and we really enjoyed the dock

We loved staying here! The price is a little appalling- but you do get what you pay for in terms of privacy, location, views, and the space itself. During our stay we had a transformer blow right outside of our window which caused the power to go out - the host was extremely responsive and on top of the power company! We appreciated the patios furniture and the boogie boards and toys left for the kids! The wagon was very helpful too. The appliances were clean and the house was well kept!! They left a vacuum out for use and that was super helpful for sand. There is a playpen too, which they should list!
