Our cosy terraced cottage is nestled in amongst National Trust farmland, down a small farm track. It is one of six cottages that have been converted from a stone barn. There are beautiful views of the surrounding countryside including Dorset's famous Golden Cap, with walking right from the front door. The large shared garden, makes it an ideal getaway for families or couples and each cottage has it's own parking space. Seatown beach is a very short walk away, as are the local pubs.

Tiny home in Bridport

The Garden Studio a Grade II listed cottage.

The Studio was exactly as described and perfect for 2 people to stay in comfort and privacy. The hosts were lovely and friendly with helpful ideas for things to do and how to get the most out of the area. The property itself was spotlessly clean, with lovely flowers, cake, eggs and milk on arrival. The bed was super comfy and the whole place felt like time and care had been taken creating a wonderful experience for their guests. WiFi was good and The Studio felt like home. The pool table and table tennis in the games room were a great added extra and there is also an extensive library of books and DVD’s should you wish to make use of them. I would have no hesitation recommending this to anyone looking for a comfortable and cosy base to explore all that The Jurassic Coast had to offer. We will definitely be back when the opportunity arises. Super hosts who alllowed us to check out late as they had a gap in their booking schedule which was really appreciated.

We had a really wonderful stay at Chideock cottage, Heather was very helpful and responsive, the garden is beautiful and backs onto a farm which our toddler loved. Easy walk to the beach with a 3 year old, and there’s an EV charger at the nearby spa which was very convenient. Would love to stay here again.

The setting was absolutely beautiful and the hut was very well presented! Great suggestions for places to eat from Danette and the views and sounds from the hut of the countryside are unbeatable! We watched a barn owl from the hut on both nights we stayed!

Warm and cosy, dog friendly, Character cottage

We would highly recommend a stay at Pound Cottage. The property is so cosy and a real home from home. The kitchen had a vast array of utensils and equipment. More than enough to even cook a roast if you wanted. Everything was spotlessly clean. There were books, CDs, DVDs and board games available too. I noted other reviews mentioned the road noise and yes you could hear it when the window was open or you were in the garden. However it didnt detract from our stay at all. There is a pub straight across the road which has just reopened. One 5 mins walks up the road and we found a dog friendly walk down to seatown beach which only took 15 minutes. Once down there we found a gorgeous sea front pub. Bridport, West Bay and Lyme Regis are less than 30 mins away. All in all a great place to stay. Thank you.

The Burrow - A short walk to Seatown Beach

We’ve had a wonderful week with our friends & their dog in Jane’s beautiful, honey-coloured, thatched cottage. It’s so clean, comfortable & well-equipped, we wanted for nothing. Jane is a very welcoming, easy-going & helpful host. Chideock is perfectly placed for exploring this lovely part of Dorset, made even easier by the convenient parking for both our cars. Our favourite evening spot is the walkable (20 mins for us) Anchor Inn at Seatown Beach - just the spot for great food & watching the sun go down. We were five adults & the bedrooms worked for us as the actual arrangement provides privacy & good access to the bathroom for all. We have a week of great memories & hope to visit again.

Cosy, hideaway cottage

What a wonderful break of journey, great hosts and a wonderful location, the cottage felt so homely and meeting Emily and Mike was like catching up with old friends, very relaxed and very helpful, we shall certainly be going back in the very near future. Lots of amenities within walking distance or a short drive and the town has a really friendly atmosphere. Great mixed street market twice a week, you name it they sell it, great bargains to be had. We actually stayed twice once on the way down to Cornwall and then again on the way back, we did regret booking several days in Cornwall on reflection we would have been happier staying at the cottage in Bridport.
