The building is on State Highway 1 which is busy and noisy . It is not suitable for light sleeper .There is a kitchenette with a fridge and microwave only no cook top . Seperate bathroom with toilet .The Old Cop Shop is not fancy or flash but it is clean and tidy . This place used to be the police station in Cheviot . It’s one of the smallest police stations built in the South Island . It’s a great place for an overnight stay before heading to the ferry to Wellington . There is no T V or wi fi
“Marie’s place is sitting on a small town. It’s tiny, clean and warm, a big car parking was ready too. A place noted without kitchen, but we did light dinner for us, wine glasses were ready too. Gore Bay is very nearby, some people donate benches memories their family or friends. Some people hanging rocks and leave it for travel or for love memories. We did one for us.^^ Light breakfast also ready in the fridge, isn’t it wonderful!”
Self contained bedroom light and airy ,breakfast included in the price
“The location right in the middle of the Pines gives Gary a taste of adventure. The site is under construction and promises soon to receive people in a natural and charming place”
Basic and simple but cosy and comfortable, farm shearers quarters renovated with love by our family! Handy to the local wedding venue which just 4km away. Ideal for families and couples. We do a drop-off to weddings. Night rate $67 for one person, thereafter each person is $47 pp. Children $25 pp. NO cleaning fee if stay longer than 1 night. No cell phone coverage/wifi in this building, however, there is about a 2 or 3 min walk up the paddock and at our house. We love having people to stay.
“We had a great stay at Susan and Richard’s air bnb. The property was a bit of magic. The location was gorgeous with great views of all the hills and surrounding area. The night sky was incredible. Their little dog was very friendly. The space itself was very private and quite spacious. Susan and Richard were very friendly and gave us a ton of great ideas for exploring the South Island. Would definitely recommend! Thanks so much!”
