Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Chapel Hill

This was the perfect location for my husband, daughter and myself. We had 1 car, 4 days, 3 different schedules, numerous friends to visit plus a wedding. The Airbnb location was central to all that we were doing in Chapel Hill and Durham over the long weekend and we were so grateful to have both the bus line and Bolin Creek trail very close by. The home was well laid out with 3 comfortable bedrooms, a well stocked kitchen and a living room with 2 sofas. The new renovations were tastefully done and gave this cute, older home a fresh, cozy feel. The neighborhood was very private with lots of trees and the roads were quiet. It was a very restful place to relax between all of our running around and visiting. Thank you, Jenny, for being such a good host and sharing your home with us! We would love to come back if the opportunity arises.

Loved my stay at Justin's! He was such a kind and friendly host and helped me feel at home. The rental was really cute and quirky and had lots of interesting art pieces. The yard was beautiful and private. The screened in porch was great and there were multiple other patios to hang out on. He had pet peacocks that were awesome to watch! Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of extra linens in the closet. Justin even left us some breakfast food in the fridge! Only thing to be aware of beforehand is there are a lot of stairs you have to climb to get to the rental and it is another family members apartment. Fantastic time overall!

I needed a quiet escape after a death in my family, and Erin’s place checked all the boxes. The home was clean and cozy. I highly recommend if you need somewhere peaceful to recharge away from it all.

Deon’s place was just as expected. It was clean and comfortable with all amenities (particularly liked the powerful hairdryer), all streaming tv options, Queen bed was comfortable, kitchen well appointed, local area was quiet, an easy walk to Compare supermarket, good quiet aircon, laundry bathroom set up works well, clear instructions. Loved the wine on arrival - especially after a long delayed journey. Deon was very responsive to questions. We had a great 7 night stay visiting family. We’d stay again.

I stayed with my 11 year old and her friend and it was the perfect place for us. The girls spent most of their time outside on the tree swings or wading in the small creek. I can’t even tell you how their TV is because the kids were having such fun outside (a small miracle to have them off screens.) Barbara and her daughter Liz were wonderful and so communicative. The place is really cute and had everything we needed. My daughter has requested we stay there every visit to Chapel Hill. ☺️

everything in the kitchen was Gourmet and the equipment was by far the nicest of any Airbnb I stayed in. I was inspired to buy the same electric kettle to replace the one I have! also the cleaning products, laundry products, and toilet tissue were all very eco-friendly and just the same that I use myself

This was such a cool house! Plenty of space for our family to spread out but also had nice areas to gather. The neighborhood was beautiful and the house was very close to restaurants, activities, and UNC campus. We loved our stay!

We visited Chapel Hill for a wedding and my children reported that this was a perfect space for their two families. It was close to amenities and in a walkable neighborhood. Michael was excellent at communicating clearly and there were no issues checking in or out.

This was my best Airbnb experience of all of them! Responsive host, adorable place in beautiful area full of every possible thing I might need, and so perfect! 5 stars! Would recommended and would stay here again. Thank you!!

Good space to stay for a few days. Quiet getaway.

This is a charming, comfortable, convenient and well appointed accommodation from the washing machine down to the Q-tips. I particularly appreciated its proximity to the university making for easy walking and a completely carless week. The host was excellent-- very solicitous of my comfort.

Kathryn's place is cozy, quiet and very clean. Perfect place is you are visiting UNC. Kathryn was very responsive and kind. Highly recommend.

Forrest and Carol Ann were unbelievable. We arrived late and a little hungry. They greeted us and had plenty of food and drinks in the rental available. The house was clean, well appointed and we couldn't have been more comfortable. The surroundings are amazing, his sculptures and walking trail around the property was over the top beautiful. We are so impressed by both of our hosts we are anxious to return. I feel like they are friends for life. I would definitely recommend their home, hospitality and gracious kindship to anyone traveling to NC. Very best, Rich & Leslie

Stephen is literally THE BEST host I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying with on Airbnb! He is friendly, helpful, and fantastic. His place is so inviting and interesting to stay at. Tidbits and cool relics all over his space. And if that alone isn’t enough, his sanctuary of a backyard garden will be what sets his place apart from the rest. His place is now one of my favorite saves that I will definitely try to book again in the future should I ever be in the area.

If you're traveling solo, this is an ideal crash pad. It's small and spartan, and you'll need to drive to get anywhere you want to go, but it's clean, comfortable and quiet. There are nice, small touches that lend a homey feel, and the one window AC unit does a good job of cooling the entire place, even when it's above 90 outside. I'll definitely look to stay here again when I pass through Durham.

Great stay with a rustic experience. Loved hearing the rooster when i arrived and the frogs at night. The Magnolia tree smells amazing. Definitely off thr beaten path and a great get away for fast paced city folks. The studio had some many detailed touches and was very nice!

Apt. was conveniently located, clean, and comfortable. Antonio was responsive and kind. Could not have asked for more.

Had a nice stay! Easy check in and designated parking space was nice too. Apartment was clean and comfortable. Lots of food options nearby and a quiet neighborhood. Would stay again if I’m ever back in the area.

Kristal’s place was clean and serene. Perfect place for a quick getaway. We felt right at home, the bed was super comfortable and linens super soft! The surroundings were quiet so we were never disturbed. If we’re back in the Raleigh area, we hope to book again!

The home was beautiful and had a lot of space. It was just two of us, but we could have easily split it with at least two more people. We especially loved the lake view patio. We enjoyed our morning coffee out there every morning as well as a few night caps. It was so peaceful. Jim was very easy and quick to communicate with. We would definitely stay there again.

We had originally booked another location, but this was more convenient and a lot less. It was very nice and well worth the money. Elliott was very proactive in terms of instructions, but everything went so smoothly we really didn't need to contact him. We would stay here again.
