Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Chania

My boyfriend and I stayed 5 days in the accommodation and were very pleased with our stay. The apartment is on the first floor of a beautiful modern house. The apartment was very well equipped, there was nothing missing. The beautiful terrace with a hot tub is worth mentioning. The location is great. It is about 15 minutes drive to the center of Chania. Several beaches are within walking distance. The house itself is in a quiet location. It offers a good base for exploring Crete. Katerina and her husband are great hosts. Upon arrival, a fresh Greek salad, oranges and wine awaited us. We got fresh vegetables from the garden a few days later. Katerina was always available and very friendly. We felt very comfortable. Overall, we would recommend the accommodation! 5/5 stars!

Very pleasant stay at Irene's. House in a very good location amid olive trees and close to many places. Irene is a very welcoming, kind, caring person... we were treated to small specialties when we arrived and when we returned in the evening... i highly recommend. Thank you Irene

Konstantinos’s place is perfect. The location is beautiful and only a short drive to some of best beaches we have ever been to. The pool is so lovely and surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery. I have never had a shower with such a good view! I wouldn’t change a thing and would recommend to anyone.

Simply stunning apartment, glorious views and easy access to the little village of Kalyves. We spent most days by the pool and evenings eating at the many restaurants by the beach. The apartment is beautiful and well equipped, the views from the living room are stunning. Eleni is an attentive and very responsive host who looked after us extremely well. We will be back very soon!

It has a parking lot and It was great to be within walking distance of the old town. Hot water is not constant, this has been a problem for us, you have to press a button and wait 15 minutes and sometimes this water is 3. It wasn't enough for us. We pressed it again and waited. It's nice to have a garden, we love cats, but as the temperature rises, the smell of cat poop starts to come from the garden, they should solve this.

Great place directly opposite the beach - fantastic if you have toddlers like us. We ended up having dinner at the restaurant next door every day because the kids could play out there while we ate. If you want to visit the most beautiful beaches on Crete, this west coast location is great (though it should be noted that the beach near the house is actually facing north, which means it is thankfully not frequented by tourists). The host is very friendly and willing to help with any issues. The airbnb was very well equipped and prepared for our visit (including items we would not ordinarily expect like fruit, cake, and even a dinner on the first night - though we obviously knew about it based on previous reviews). We would come back here in a heartbeat!

We enjoyed our entire stay! From the minute we got there, until we left Joanna was easily reachable and the property is fantastic. We hope to be back again!

If you're looking for a place where you can find peace and get inspired, this is definitely it. I love that this place is an authentic village where you can really experience the local Cretan life. The hosts were wonderful and very helpful. The house is so interesting with lots of old photos and history. Some of the best beaches are just a few minutes away. I wouldn't recommend Elafonisi, it's really windy and sooo many people. Kedrodasos beach was probably our favourite but be ready for a steep walk up on the way back.

Wonderful Experience at the Villa Elias! Our stay at the villa was perfect. The sea view was breathtaking, especially during sunset – a true sense of calm, quiet, and complete privacy. Choosing this villa was an excellent decision, especially because of the heated pool, which the kids absolutely loved. They enjoyed both swimming and playing in the spacious garden. The villa is well-equipped, with many useful items that made our stay very comfortable, including an air pump for pool toys. The location is also great – close to shops, supermarkets, and pharmacies. Had a wonderful time at this Airbnb! Location was superb, a great place for exploring easy reach of Chania and Rethymno. The town has 3 eating places, Monica’s was the highlight! Airbnb its self was so peaceful, with amazing views the outside space had been thought through with lovely dining areas and sunbeds, it gets the sun from midmorning to night. Would recommend to anyone, loved it!

Georgia is a very gracious host. She welcomed us upon our arrival, showed us the supplies, and provided all the necessary information about the area. The house had everything we needed, and it was very comfortable and quiet. It was also clean and spacious enough for all 11 of us.

Our stay with Eleftheria and Michalis in Chania was nothing short of exceptional. The house is amazing—spacious, immaculate, and clearly designed with incredible care and attention to detail. The location is superb, and it’s easily one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. The hosts went above and beyond—warm, welcoming, and always available. They helped us with everything from our early arrival to washing our car, making us feel completely at home. I truly hope to return one day with the rest of our family, and I’d recommend this place to anyone visiting Crete without hesitation.

Loved our stay in this remote villa. Amazing views with sunsets from the pool. Beds were very comfortable with quality linens and towels. Nice having the pool heated! House is remote so bring all the food needed. Rather close to Elifonisi beach which was well worth the 20 minute drive. Driving is not for the faint of heart of heart. Many tavernas in the area within 15 minutes drive. Would stay again. Thank you Theoni!

We decided to spend four nights at this beautiful property in a very rural part of Crete. We based ourselves here because of the location as it was close enough to Balos Lagoon, Elafonissi and Falasarna Beaches. The property is close to some very well regarded Cretan Tavernas so there is choice for food locally. Our hosts greeted us and provided us with some lovely pastries, fresh fruit, and items in the fridge which was much appreciated by us and our young family. The hosts were responsive and even gave us a parting gift which was unexpected but welcomed. We cannot recommend this Airbnb enough.

We spent 14 wonderful days in Marilena's residence. From the first moment we felt very welcome. Marilena is not only incredibly hospitable and friendly, but also very sweet and nice to children. The place was sparkling clean and well cared for. The private pool was an absolute highlight: every morning it was carefully cleaned by Marilena herself. What we also really appreciated was that she came to clean the house in the interim, of course in consultation. Really top service! You can tell from everything that Marilena does this with love and has an eye for her guests. In short: a fantastic place to stay with a hostess who really makes a difference. We will definitely come back here!

We had a wonderful time at Cindy's villa. The villa was easy to find and the essentials such as the beach and a small supermarket are within walking distance. In addition, the accommodation was very clean so that you immediately felt comfortable. We would love to come back:)

A perfect gem in the heart of Chania! The place is wonderfully cozy, tucked away on a charming street just steps from great restaurants and the scenic promenade — you really feel the soul of the city here. Gabrielle was the kind of host you don’t forget: incredibly warm, thoughtful, and genuinely sweet. Even though our stay was short, she made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. An unforgettable little escape — highly recommended!

Stayed in this small Airbnb for one night only, as a transition between a previous week-long rental and a flight back home. Loved the neighborhood, much quieter than the bustling and busy streets of old town Chania and yet very close. The room was simple, but very clean, nice bedding, excellent WC, bath and shower. Windows opened right onto a view of the Mediterranean, with a small restaurant balcony perched just by the water. Worth every penny, would stay again.

Loved our stay at Elies Place. It’s in a great location for the beach but far enough not to have disturbance from the busy promenade. Silver was a brilliant help, nothing was too much and she really made our stay better. The apartment had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. It is a minute away from a bakery and two minutes from a supermarket. The local people were so friendly and spoke to us every morning. The old town is an easy 15-20 minute stroll where there are better restaurants but significantly more expensive. The beach and facilities are great also. Would recommend staying at Elies Place if you’re looking for value for money and great location.

We had a wonderful, peaceful & relaxing week in this beautiful house. Amazing location, stylish, spacious, comfortable & very well-equipped. It’s 3 minutes from the small town of Sellia (3 or 4 nice traditional restaurants & small but useful supermarket), 10 minutes from the bigger (seaside town) of Plakias (many restaurants, 2 big supermarkets, butcher & baker), yet out on its own: utterly quiet & private and with beautiful, uninterrupted views of the sea. Cordula - who created this fabulous place, from ground up & with incredible attention to detail, is a perfect host. She couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful: at all stages proactive, quick & very clear communication and always concerned about our convenience & comfort. Our flight time meant we didn’t arrive until 8pm & Cordula offered to order & collect food from one of the excellent local restaurants & keep it warm in the oven, so after a long & tiring journey our holiday started straightaway. We would love to return.

The accommodation was very comfortable and Spyridon was very present and active, ready to respond to any need. We had a slight setback with the bathroom sink drain, despite the fact that we were only there for one night, he was immediately understanding and ready to have a plumber intervene to solve the problem. A very helpful host, and this fact alone makes the stay worthwhile.

The apartment was great. Everything was clean and as described. Stelio was a great host and everything went smoothly. There are supermarkets, mini markets and a bus station in walking distance. All in all, Everything was prefect

The place is in the center of everything you would want to do. Would book again.
