Monthly Rentals in Carlecotes

I stayed here with my husband and 2 young children on a visit to Holmfirth to see my best friend. Simon was so helpful and went above and beyond for our stay. He ensured everything was set up for us including an extra bed for the children, fresh bread on the side, and milk in the fridge. Also loved the fresh coffee available. Our kids loved running circles around the the flat and Simon even made a point to say to not worry about the kids running around as his children even loved doing that when they were young. So it was very nice to be in a family friendly place. Even the fresh tulips on the table made us smile. Thank you Simon for a lovely stay!

JUST WOW. Had 3 wonderful nights at the cottage, the cottage was fabulous and felt like a step back in time, all the ornaments and furniture really made the place, the cottage lit up beautifully in the night. The outside woodland was a fantastic touch, outside fire pit with a cooking slab was great to cook on, swinging chair attached to the trees, and the bush bath WOW. Felt amazing sitting in the bath outside listening to the birds chatter away and the bonus of the woodland lights in the evening. The local area was great lots to do and vist, The local village was a nice walk to get to along with exploring around , we done a lot of hiking and wild swimming so many different routes to pick from followed by a lovely pub meal or the outside fire/bbq. Heath is a fantastic host, very informative and very easy going, communication was brilliant too. I Would 100% recommend this getaway

We had a wonderful long weekend stay at Sarah and Mark's property. The location was ideal for us, as we were visiting family in the area, but we were also able to enjoy serenity at the cottage between visiting. From the cottage we could walk our dogs peacefully up the road (a huge bonus for us as they need a quiet life), and I managed a long run from the doorstep - discovered some fab trails. The cottage had everything we needed and overall was a very relaxing stay. Sarah and Mark were responsive throughout too, always helpful and friendly - they even offered a late checkout, as no guests staying directly after us, which was incredibly thoughtful. Would definitely come back again. Thank you!

Alison was amazing. Despite being on her property, the place felt very private and felt like we were on our own. Just like the photos, everything was clean and tidy. The kitchen had everything you need for cooked breakfasts and dinners. Lounge area was nice and cosy with a film projector for a quiet night in. Lots of small details Alison has added to really make our stay special. The location was spectacular, fantastic views and everything within walking distance. Langsett reservoir was a personal favourite. Alison recommended lots of places for dinner, Waggon & Horses Oxspring was an amazing pub dinner and would highly recommend it. Anyone looking for a trip to the Peaks, this is the place to stay:)
