Perfect spot for a nights stay on Bowen. Very quaint little cottage equipped with all you need for the night. Comfy linens, great coffee set up and a nice little gas fireplace on the deck. Shared bathroom with the main house which is made very comfortable. 2 very cute chickens and some kitty’s. Catherine is responsive and accommodating.

Cabin 1 was absolutely lovely. Exactly what we needed to unplug from the city and was just the perfect getaway. The place was beautiful and very well cared for. Reg was awesome! Super responsive and gave us the best tips for local spots & how to get the sauna going. We can’t wait to come back!

I loved the quiet at the house. When it was not too humid, we opened the deck doors to the birdsong and woodland sounds. It was a perfect place to read and relax. When I did mention one minor issue to the hosts (I have minor mobility issues), they saw to it that it was taken care of, which was incredibly kind of them to do. I will happily stay there again.

We had a fantastic few days of history hunting and relaxing at Shoal Bay. Around 1890, up to five thousand people lived here. Mark and Cynthia, the two remaining residents, were very friendly, and kindly offered us the best cabin, which was superb! We look forward to returning. It’s an incredible place!

Had such a lovely stay. The space was cozy and calm, exactly what I needed to unwind and get centered before an early sporting event the next morning. Everything was smooth thanks to the hosts’ clear communication and thoughtful setup. It felt welcoming without ever feeling intrusive, which I really appreciated. Would absolutely stay again!

What a dreamy place to stay! We loved it. So stylish, comfortable and thoughtfully laid-out. Every detail was considered. The views are incredibly beautiful, the host is so responsive and considerate and it is just so comfortable. We loved the amazing windows and surrounding forestry. Near to Alice’s Coffee which was scrumptious and a nearby mini-horse farm. Bird watcher’s paradise. We loved our stay and would happily return and for longer. Obsessed with the decor!

Peaceful, rustic, and completely off the grid. Just what we needed to slow down and breathe. We spent our time on the porch, watching the sunset paint the sky while listening to the soothing sounds of nature—geese calling in the distance, frogs croaking nearby, birds chirping in every direction. No city noise, no rush—just pure, simple quiet. The perfect place to disconnect and truly recharge.

This place is a gem in so many ways! We love the coziness of the cabin, the tucked away in the forest, but yet feet away from ocean front. The view from the hot tub is great. The cabin is so neat with the little library, art room, and extra sleeping nooks. The kitchen was beyond fully stocked with everything we needed. The beds and linens were wonderful. We enjoyed the board games and books one rainy morning. The kids enjoyed seeing starfish and a sea otter around the dock. Crabbing off the dock was a nice bonus. The wildlife all around the cabin was a treat - deer & fawn and so many different birds visiting the bird feeders. We will be back for longer next time!

A great experience. Ulrike’s cottage was a perfect blend of character and charm: the beds were comfy, the view incredible (especially from the tower - what a great feature!) and everything was clean and well-considered. Even though our second day was cold and rainy, it was the perfect place to get cozy by a fire and unwind. A great stay and a great host - we hope to come back some day.

Their dome was absolutely wonderful. If you’re looking to enjoy nature through the changing seasons, I highly recommend staying at their place. They’re truly kind and welcoming hosts. And i think their baby will be absolutely beautiful. :)

My wife and daughter stayed at the Bunkie on the Bay, and loved it! Here’s what they had to say: Wow! This little Bunkie is a stunner! My daughter and I had a wonderful overnight stay. Neither of us wanted to leave. The Bunkie is well appointed, cozy, tastefully decorated, spotless and smelled so good 😊 You can feel the love put into its restoration. We made use of the games and rainy day activity questions…we talked for hours as we watched the beautiful sunset over the bay. It’s a perfect little get away to refresh, relax and reconnect. Sehr schöne gegend und die Unterkunft ist mit viel Liebe eingerichtet. Der kleine See und die Kanus war eine schöne Überraschung. Was mir besonders gefallen hat, war das die Leiter die sehr gut befestigt ist und es noch extra Halterung und Polsterung gab zum das Bett zu erreichen. Das Schlafsofa ist auch bequem. Was uns weniger gefallen hat, war das dass Wasser aus dem Hahn eine leichte Verfärbung hat. Ausserdem hat es einen unangenehmen Geruch. Zum kochen und abwaschen steht genügend wasser zur Verfügung was es dann wieder wett macht. Das Duschen ist etwas unangenehm. Wir empfehlen jedem diese Unterkunft, der nicht so heikel ist wie wir mit dem wasser. Sonst ist alles wunderbar gewesen.

Beautiful, cosy cabin with a lovely view. Cabin is designed well, so you have everything you need in the space available. Hot tub and sauna are also a great addition!

We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing getaway here! It was beautiful, clean, cozy and had amazing spa amenities! The bed was extremely comfortable. It was close to town which was convenient but also was completely secluded. Would love to go again

We had such an amazing time ! So private and peaceful , so calm.. the views are amazing! We were also lucky to see some deers in the morning , overall an incredible time , we can’t wait to come back !

We had the most wonderful 2 nights in this beautiful cottage ~ we walked the beach relaxed on the deck and enjoyed the serenity of it all. Our pup had the time of his life having some freedom to run and sniff till his heart was content. We look forward to our next visit in September thank you Port Talbot estates
