Cottage vacation rentals in Burnham Overy Staithe

Thanks to Max for letting us use this lovely space. Myself and my partner booked in to get away for a few days and this place was exactly what we needed. Quiet, cosy and tucked away but still able to access all of the activities we planned in Norfolk. The house was spotless clean and you can tell Max has put a lot of thought into the amenities provided (even down to the ice lollies in the freezer!) The hot tub was a perfect touch to relax in the garden with some music on and some bubbles. The stay was amazing. Thank You!

Thank you Mary for letting us stay at your cottage, we had a great time and couldn't recommend it enough to anyone looking to have a peaceful getaway! The hot tub was immaculate and we also enjoyed the swimming pool. The cottage was tidy and comfy, and the location is great - close to some really nice walks and villages. Hope we get the chance to come back!

We had a wonderful stay here, felt right at home. Plenty of space for the 6 of us, comfortable sofas and beds, plenty of towels for the hot tub. The surrounding area was beautiful with a short walk to the lake. The hosts came back straight away with my many questions and we are getting a date sorted to book back in next year. One point to make is that there is pub down the road that although google said was open, it isn't at weekends. There is a great little cafe though on the lake that is a 5 minute walk away. Easy to get a food shopping order delivered and a really nice touch of a cake and bottle of wine as we were there celebrating Birthdays. Highly recommend this place. Thanks for having us.

Beautiful cottage in a wonderful little town full of things to do and see (and the beach is not far away). The cottage is really well-appointed and full of cool things. The hot-tub was also a complete luxury!

This was our second year staying at the cottage. Like last time it was a wonderful holiday and we were sad to go. That Cottage feels like a second home to all of us. And we will be coming again next year. The property is beautiful and cosy. The surrounding area makes you feel so relaxed within nature. In the mornings we were able to see a barn owl on the garden fence. If you want somewhere to relax and unwind in the country I cannot recommend The Cottage enough.

Beautiful cottage, looked just like the pictures and much more spacious once we got inside. Lovely garden and the hot tub was a bonus. Our dog loved sunbathing on the grass outside and had loads of nature reserves dotted around for us to visit and take the dog on a walk. 10/10 would definitely recommend

Highly recommend for a peaceful break. Watching the stars in the hot tub with an owl flying over was particularly magical.

This is a wonderful place to stay, Emma is a fantastic host, very responsive and helpful. We've stayed here a number of times and will do again!

Our stay was peaceful in tranquil surroundings. The cottage was well equipped with quality furnishings and beds very comfortable. One of our party was in the process of recovering from illness, and after a few days began to feel so much better and by the end of the stay had the best sleep since his diagnosis. Beautiful garden, patio and area. The White horse inn nearby was great for a pint and food if you didn’t want to cook. Central to many attractions in Norfolk.

This wonderful place is a Haven for North Norfolk! Jason was very informative and quick and helpful with messages and responses. Can't wait to go back in July!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lovely, peaceful stay I had a great stay at 7 Moor Lane. The cottage was clean, cosy, and had a beautiful back garden – perfect for relaxing. Fresh flowers on the dining table were a lovely touch, and the host was welcoming and helpful throughout. There are nearby spots for fresh eggs and honey, which added to the charm. I even left something behind, and the host kindly posted it back to me. A thoughtful and peaceful countryside retreat – highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cottage. Fiona was a perfect host making herself readily available but at the same time recognising our space and privacy. Excellent to communicate with. The cottage is exactly as seen in the pictures and description. Nothing to fault. Main positives: the delightful patio area, how calm and peaceful it was. Spotlessly clean throughout and so many little thoughtful touches from a host who has clearly put time and effort into making your stay the best they can. We ate at both the Rose and Crown where food is excellent (tapas night) and the Queen Victoria which serves good honest pub grub and does it well. Would be very pleased to get the chance of a return visit.

What a lovely stay! Me my husband and my two dogs loved every moment ! Great cottage and amazing location, beaches 15 minutes in every direction. Local shops and bakeries in the nearby villages. And Jane the host was very helpful and informative ! Couldn’t fault it :)

We had a fantastic time in North Norfolk and Zoe & Toby’s home was a joy to come back to each night after a day of sightseeing. We had a child of 5 years and a toddler 15 months. They both loved the house, especially the toddler who loves going up stairs. We were made aware of the fire place and steps so knew it would be a minor inconvenience with the baby but that was fine considering all the pros of the property.

Such a lovely cottage in a beautiful, peaceful area. Only 3 mins walk to the beach and such a wonderful beach, plenty of local amenities 20 mins walk or 5 mins drive into Hunstanton with lots to do, the walk into Hunstanton is well worth it, it is a lovely easy walk along the cliff with lovely scenery. Cottage is well equipped, everything you need to make you feel at home. It was very clean and fresh and we felt very relaxed and comfortable during our stay. The garden is lovely and gets the sun all afternoon into the evening. Would definitely recommend Ridge Cottage. Ideal location for visiting the Norfolk area. Will definitely stay here again I. the future.

Can’t rate Victoria or her cottage more highly. Friendly, clear and helpful communication about the cottage and lots of useful local recommendations. It’s a very short walk to the shops and restaurants of Burnham Market. Cottage has everything you could need for a home away from home. Lots of beautiful coffee table books to browse on the comfy sofa if you have a wet day and a v well equipped kitchen. The little touches - welcome card, wine, biscuits and welcome treats for our dog were the icing on the cake.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. It was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The communication prior to our stay was great and also received photos to help us find the cottage on the day which was very helpful. The peaceful surroundings made for a relaxing break and we managed to make the most of the area despite the weather. Hope to book again in the future to explore more, thank you!

Buttercups is a perfect gem! Stylish, peaceful, uncluttered, and spacious with beautiful light flooding every room. The roomy dressing room is perfect for yoga a well kept garden is an added extra to enjoy. It feels like a well loved home with charming artefacts and art work all chosen with care to create a harmonious restful space. The cottage is perfectly placed in a quiet lane giving immediate access to walks to Blakeney and Cley on Sea. Warm, comfortable and quiet: we loved it and hope to return.

Having Autistic children makes holidays very difficult for us, but this was the best holiday we’ve had! The pool was by far the best bit, we spent hours in it everyday. It was warm and very clean. The cottage was cozy and had everything you needed. Great location, so much to do within a short drive and lovely beaches. We’ll definitely be back again. Thank you Andy and Fi xx

Comfortable house in a quiet location & well equipped & maintained to a high standard. Outstanding house manual with laminated sheets for all appliances including heating & TVs. Also well compiled information folder re surrounding area re restaurants, places of interest etc. We would highly recommend Staithe View & Hetti as a Host.

This was a wonderful base to explore the area, and we have fallen in love with Blakeney itself. It was so peaceful, with walks from the doorstep. We were able to walk to several restaurants for our evening meal, which was a treat. Blakeney itself is full of little alcoves and alleyways, and is so charming. The accommodation was peaceful, clean and comfortable. You have everything you could possibly wish for in a wonderful location.

I highly recommend Poppy Cottage. We booked last minute, but Claire was really accommodating. Check in was easy, there is a dedicated parking space and entrance. This gave us complete freedom to come and go without worry, and the lock-box meant no stress about arriving at a specific time. There was milk and thoughtful extras waiting for us on arrival. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well finished. The space was generally lovely; well thought out and bigger than I expected, with lovely views of the garden. The village was very sweet, incredibly quiet and felt very safe. The Wi-Fi was very good, the shower was great, the heating was very efficient; the cottage was warm and cosy. The log burner is a lovely addition. The kitchen was very well equipped. We unfortunately missed meeting Claire, but she was still very communicative and friendly and I felt perfectly comfortable reaching out to her (although everything was great and there was nothing we needed!).
