Cottage vacation rentals in Builth Wells

Jamie & Dan are very fortunate to have this beautiful property. It is the ideal country location for escaping away and distancing yourself from our increasingly busy lives. The gardens around the property are stunning, the views are incredible and the local area is amazing to explore on foot, bike or by car. We had an amazing stay and would happily return, and have already started to recommend to friends & family

We had a fantastic stay for 2 nights at Mabel Cottage. Debbie was on hand to greet us immediately upon arrival and she talked us through all of the relevant instructions for the hot tub etc. Very friendly and approachable and made it clear she was just over the way if we needed something. The barn was spotless and had all the amenities we needed. Towels were provided for the bathroom and the hot tub and we had a relaxing time. The wood fired hot tub was great......we spent about 2+ hours in there on our 2nd night. We also made use of the BBQ under the covered area (needed in the Welsh rain). The local area is stunning and there are lots of dry and wet weather things to do within the Brecons area. Revisiting the Waterfalls was a highlight ......you do need to be energetic as described as some steep gradients and uneven steps/ground! All in all we had a fantastic time at Mabel and would definitely stay again!

My partner and I stayed at Sarah and Mark’s property for our engagement weekend, and they truly contributed a memorable weekend. The space itself is amazing and well maintained. You are welcomed to a bright and open property that has all the facilities you need to have an amazing stay, from a well fitted kitchen with cookbooks to an open living space with a fire and tv. Bathroom and bedroom have everything you need, even down to robes to make you feel at home. The hot tub area and garden is a peaceful area where you are greeted by nature. The animals around the garden are properly fenced away allowing you to have your dog off lead in the back garden (fully enclosed) but still get to go up to the animals who love to come and say hi to you! You have great privacy from the main house, particularly in the hot tup area which is finished off nicely with a cover should it rain. Overall the space could not have been more perfect, we had no issues and we will look forward to staying again.

Just spent a very relaxing 4 days at Coal's view. The pictures on the site are lovely but in reality they don't do the place justice. It is such a beautiful home, everything that you need for a relaxing break. The space is so well thought out, lovely comfy bed and huge bathroom with the free standing bath and separate shower. The hot tub is one of the best we've had at an Airbnb and we made use of it every night, even when there was a bit of rain about. Being able to sit and read in the garden area in the late warm spring afternoon was a joy, my wife totally chilled on the hammock. Tom and Louise live next door to the property and we're really responsive with check in details and also when we contacted them during our stay. Such a lovely place and hope to be able to visit it again.

Amazing stay at the Yarlington Dairy. The cottage was stunning and had everything you needed. The views were magnificent and the cider was also lush! Laura was a wonderful host, super friendly and very responsive. Thank you for a great stay celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary! 🤩 x

Would highly recommend, waking up with sheep on your doorstep was an unbelievable experience for somebody who has always lived a city lifestyle. Angela was great, always responsive and very friendly

I would honestly have loved to have moved in, such a peaceful and beautiful place, the stay was for our anniversary and it didn’t disappoint at all, constant communication whenever we needed to discuss anything and the property was honestly very impressive, lovely stay and would definitely recommend to friends.

Peaceful and beautiful rural setting … no out door space to sit. Great to have the use of a hot tub with a lovely view … overall a lovely place to stay

The accommodation is situated in beautiful countryside with good walks in all directions. Its spacious and well equipped which led to a comfortable stay. Rhayader is nearby with shops, pubs and restaurants, ensuring we had everything we needed for a good holiday.

This cottage truly is magical. It’s historic significance and beautiful restorations make it a very special place to stay. The Cottage has an amazing log burner that really kicks out the heat and the host kindly left plenty of wood for us to use. Cozy and compact with all the basics. Perfectly placed for adventures and coastal walks.

We had a truly relaxing stay at Ducks Cottage. The accommodation was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a peaceful break. One of the highlights was sitting in the lovely garden by the canal, watching and feeding the ducks— a perfect spot to unwind. Everything about the cottage made us feel right at home. Highly recommended.

This was a lovely and peaceful place to say, although on a working farm we didn’t hear anything noisy, Helen/Stacie were the ideal hosts. And as for the aforementioned (many times!!!!) lemon drizzle cake……delicious. Thank you both for letting me and my partner and pooch stay at your great place X

What a gorgeous place if all you need is peace and quiet and the sound of the birds this is for you. Even better is it’s only 25 minutes from Abergavenny and it’s Waitrose 😉. Wilma was lovely and updated us with everything and replied with answers to our queries . We are only annoyed that we took so long to find this little gem!

The perfect little hideaway for a few days. If it’s character you’re looking for you can’t go wrong with Covey Cottage! Perfectly peaceful and secluded and lovely, friendly hosts. I’d definitely recommend.

Lovely Cwtch! Well stocked kitchen and appreciated the back garden. Comfy beds, very clean... great location opposite Brecon Cathedral with lovely walk through the Priory Groves. Easy walk into Brecon town. Would definitely stay again!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with freshly baked bread and a thoughtful basket of goodies — such a personal and generous touch. The space itself was beautiful, cozy, and spotless, with every detail carefully considered. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was our hostess. She was incredibly kind and welcoming — warm, helpful, and genuinely caring. It’s clear she puts her heart into making her guests feel completely at home. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait to return. Highly, highly recommended!

Perfect Cottage for our short stay in Ludlow . Clean , comfy beds , well equipped & ideally situated for exploring Ludlow & Eating out. Highly recommend Golden Moments on Corve Street . Great Friday market too. We will be back !

Great peaceful location, beautiful setting. Barn is of very high standard and had everything we needed for a few days of complete chill out. Loved Weobley and had a meal there at Jules on our host recommendation; it was amazing. Home made ice cream at Oakchurch is a must if you like ice cream.

Having requested to stay at the cottage on the day of arrival, Little Free accepted and got in contact within the hour. Giving clear instructions for parking and check in, allowing a stress free arrival. The cottage was ideal for me and my partner whilst we hiked in the Beacons, over the weekend. Brecon is a lovely little village and I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Gorgeous cottage in beautifully peaceful surroundings and walking routes from the doorstep. We loved staying here despite rain and the beautifully kept private gardens that guests can access on Thursdays are just lovely to walk around with birdsong all around you. We enjoyed the guest gardens with views to the distant Brecon hills when we had a quiet moment. Very easy to find and Alastair provides excellent additional information on restaurants, walks and local amenities. You are only 30 mins from Hay on Wye and other lovely places.

Lynda and Chris' cottage is a beautiful place to stay. It was spotlessly clean and contained everything that we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable so we both slept really well! Hay on Wye is a lovely little town which we enjoyed exploring along with the local countryside and would recommend the Fish and Chips from Hay Takeaway.

We had a pleasant stay in Brecon thanks to this lovely small house! We had everything we needed including a really comfortable bed and a well equipped kitchen. We spent a few cosy nights in and had breakfast in the sun on the terrace. Gill also had some nice recommendations for walks in the areas! All in all, a great holiday!

It's the kind of place you'd want to revisit...the cottage itself has tonnes of character and was homely, the surrounding areas were scenic and beautiful... everything you needed was within walking distance. Jacquie was friendly and informative and always answered quickly.
