Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Buena Vista

My husband and I booked this home for our 19th Anniversary Trip last minute after deciding we weren’t excited about going to the beach. And boy, did we make a great choice In fact we came home thinking maybe we should move to Colorado:) Everything about this home is perfection. Stunning views in every direction. Hot tub stargazing is the perfect way to end a day exploring the mountains. Comfortable bed and furniture. We were even lucky enough to watch moose taking an afternoon swim in the community fishing pond We truly did not want to leave. If this house is on your list, just go ahead and book it, you won’t regret it.

We selected this cabin for a two-night family getaway with our two adult children to get away and just enjoy a relaxing weekend with family. We got exactly that. Anna contacted us well before our check-in to give us the information we needed to settle into the cabin quickly. The cabin was bright and welcoming, and the views from the dining room table and deck were great. The kitchen was well stocked with all the kitchen utensils to prepare a family meal, and lots of extra kitchen goodies that you almost felt like you were in your own kitchen. We enjoyed many the morning sun and stargazing on the deck. Very peaceful. The hot tub and roasting smores on the lower deck was a great way to cap off our stay. It was an all-around great cabin for hospitality, welcoming and comfortable accommodations, and just the right setting to get away from the hustle and bustle.

This home was absolutely beautiful & perfect for what we were looking for. We had plans in Colorado Springs but didn’t want to stay in the city. This was a little over an hour out but only 20 mins from another small town for groceries & restaurants. We loved spending each night cooking together in the kitchen and relaxing in the hot-tub looking out at the sunset & stars. They even allowed our fur babies to be with us! So clean, comfortable & peaceful for a weekend getaway.

The setting was peaceful, private, and absolutely breathtaking - exactly what we were hoping for. The cabin was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with every little detail making our stay feel special. This place will always hold a special place in our hearts. Highly recommend.

David’s place was amazing! A perfect trip for my fiancé, dog and I to spend a few days full of adventure. Perfect spot for nearby hikes and ski towns like Breckenridge and Frisco. The hot tub was great for after we were on our feet all day exploring. Very peaceful to wake up to in the morning and have coffee out on the deck and the fenced in dog area was super nice to let our dog out. Would come back again!

This cabin was the perfect spot to celebrate our anniversary. It is secluded, peaceful, and cozy. The hot tub was great for relaxing after a day of hiking. We would definitely stay here again!

We had the most incredible stay at this secluded mountain cabin! Tucked away in the trees with stunning views and total privacy, it was the perfect escape from everyday life. The cabin was cozy, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. If you’re looking to unplug and recharge in peaceful surroundings, this is the place. We’re already dreaming about our next visit!

Beautiful home! Looked even better than the photos. Very well equipped and comfortable.

Our whole group (8 total) really enjoyed our "girls weekend" here. We were all blown away by the view through the huge living room windows when we first came in the back door. The place was also bigger than we expected, which was a great surprise. The house had everything we needed for a big home cooked dinner, good night's sleep, and a movie night. We also loved the deck for happy hour drinks and star viewing at night. I really appreciated how quiet of an area it is. I highly recommend this home for anyone willing to be outside of town/a 20 minute drive to Buena Vista.

Ken’s cabin is PERFECT! It’s secluded, even though there are neighbors in the area they’re not close to you. The scenery is absolutely some of the best scenery in Colorado in my opinion! From the mountains, the pine trees, the sound of the creek, the chipmunks… it was amazing and breathtaking. The Cabin is just as he described it and as the pictures show it, it’s very nice rustic, warming, and peaceful. Pretty much anything that you may need, was there. From cookware, bathroom, accessories, linens, etc.. . So, if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway for just yourself, or you and your significant other with some amazing views, I highly suggest Ken’s Cabin! Ken and his wife are great hosts and try extremely hard to provide details of the area, places to see, places to go, hiking trails, etc.

My sister stayed here and loved it! She enjoyed how peaceful it was and she even got to see moose and elk and other wildlife. It was the highlight of her stay!

We stayed here for our wedding, and we could not be happier with our stay. We had everything we needed, and it was a nice, quiet place to get away. A bit far from stores and restaurants, but we were prepared and loved to cook at the house. Scenery was beautiful, I loved waking up to the mountain sunrise every morning. This was the second time I've stayed at this property in the last few weeks. The location is quaint, the cabins are clean and my pup can stay! I sleep SO WELL every time I visit; the pillows are heavenly. A+ stay, thanks for having me!

Husband, myself and 3 kids all loved staying here! First of all, the views are just beautiful. The house is so cute and cozy and set up perfect for a small family. The alpacas, goats and chickens are just so fun. We really enjoyed spending time outside with them. The property is amazing! We loved the yard games and the fresh mountain streams. The little towns near by are so fun to explore as well with great shopping and places to eat. We definitely want to come back again in the near future.

Our stay at the Historic Boho Brothel in Twin Lakes was absolutely unforgettable. The residence was the perfect blend of charm and comfort — spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, and full of character that honors the rich history of this incredible town. Twin Lakes itself is a hidden gem that should be on everyone’s bucket list. From the moment we arrived, we felt transported to a simpler, more magical time. The host’s communication was impeccable — friendly, clear, and responsive from start to finish. We felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. Make sure to explore the local shops — Tenderfoot Farms, The General Store, and The Roadhouse just to name a few! Each one adds to the town’s special charm. This is a place we’ll return to time and time again. Can’t recommend it enough!

This was the perfect place for eight adults to stay for the trail race in Buena Vista. There was plenty of room and large open kitchen and living room for all of us to gather and have dinners.

My friends and I were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to stay at this incredible mountain escape. Location is incredible. You’re right in the midst of the mountains, close to gorgeous hiking trails and amazing restaurants (try JR’s Pizza Place), but far enough off the beaten path to feel completely isolated when you return to the home. We honestly could have spent the entire trip at the house, enjoying the private disc golf hole, watching the moose and elk wander the property, and basking in the biggest hot tub mankind has ever seen. The beds were comfortable, the home was clean, and Joey was extremely prompt in communicating with me anytime I needed him. I cannot wait to stay here again.

Great house. It has everything you might need. Open windows with great cross breezes made for some great sleeping. Location is great, you can walk everywhere. Didn’t need to drive once the entire long weekend! Already looking into dates to book again!

This is the ideal spot in BV if you’re with a group, especially dogs and kids! Great walkable access to Main Street and parks. The house was stocked with kid essentials (stool, dishes, pack n play, toys) and the yard was great for our dog. Spacious primary bedroom. Rob was very responsive. Would book again if we’re lucky enough to visit BV another time!
