Cosy one-bedroom cottage with rocky coastal views

FeliceRating, 5 stars1 month ago
An amazing stay on a stunning island. The location is perfect if you are looking for peace, with the advantage of having the small cute village of Portnahaven 15min away on foot or less than 5 min by car, where you have a tiny pub serving delicious and incredibly fresh seafood. There is a beautiful little beach 10min away on foot (Carrie Sands). Port Charlotte is 15min away by car, on a single track but easy to drive road (plenty of passing points) with stunning views - you can’t get tired of the drive, it is stunning each time! If touring distilleries, Bruichladdich and Kilkhoman are quite close (less than 30min), pencil in longer travel times for the east side distilleries (e.g. 40-45 for caol ila/bunnahabhain/ardnahoe), up to 1h for the trio Laphroig/ Lagavulin/Ardbeg). However, again, it is a great drive with wonderful views. The apartment itself is beautifully decorated, spotless clean and has everything needed for either a short or long stay. Self check in is super convenient.

Luxury Pod on Islay with Hot Tub

PaulRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Really good standard of accommodation, PODs finished to a high spec with attention to detail. We have just checked out from a really comfortable and relaxing two night stay. Great self catering option and a good quiet/private alternative to a hotel. Amazing views from the POD and hot tub. 3/4 miles out of Port Ellen. Good communication from the host, would definitely return and highly recommend.

Lorgba Caravan

JohnRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We only had two nights on Islay, and this place was a fantastic location. Easy walk to a great distillery with friendly staff, and into Port Charlotte for food and a trad session at the hotel! There’s also a small shop for necessities, and the kitchen at the caravan was a great spot for preparing one of our meals. We did have a car, and the location made for a great base to explore the island and be able to return to a quiet spot. Kelly is a great host with quick response and excellent information. Already missing it!

Picturesque Seaview Cottage

RaeRating, 5 stars1 day ago
no 11 is the most enchanting little cottage. It was Hugh, Lynsey's father, who met me and explained everything I needed to know. The situation is amazing, overlooking the bay in Portnahaven, and beyond to McKenzie Island and the Atlantic Ocean. It is in a very peaceful spot, where seals are seen daily, and also lots of sea birds. The interior is very well thought out, and of a very high standard. I had a wonderful visit.

Mo Dachaidh Holiday Cottage, Bowmore, Islay

BertramRating, 5 stars1 week ago
For us (we were two couples) the ideal place to stay - both bedrooms in different corners of the house and two different bathrooms. The furnishings were also perfect for 4 people. It was - and this is especially important to us - very clean and that's how we felt right at home. You only have to pay attention if you navigate via Google Maps - then the wrong street side will be displayed. Thank you and greetings from Austria Bertram

Saddler's Brae, seafront house in Port Charlotte

KeithRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We loved the house which has a stunning location beside the shore and wonderful views. The house had everything we needed. Only one shower so a bit of planning required in the morning but absolutely no problem. Very short walk to The Port Charlotte Hotel where we had a great meal. About 30 mins to The Machrie for fantastic golf. Laurie’s communication was spot on, not too much, not too little. Would definitely book again. Keith
