Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in Brown County

Eric is a great host. He gave clear, easy instructions to find the apartment and to get inside. Once I got in I saw a helpful packet in the kitchen area explaining near- by attractions and restaurants. He also provided clear, easy to understand how to operate some of the amenities, and call numbers if I was having problems. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and looks like it had recently been remodeled. The bed was amazing! I frequent Bloomington often, and hope to be able to stay there in the future.

We needed a last minute stop on our way home from a camping trip and this place was perfect. Beautiful golf course and quiet neighborhood. Just a 20 min drive to Bloomington for all the good grub. Will definitely be back and be bringing some clubs! Jordan answered all of my questions and messages within 10 mins or less every time and was so helpful. Thank you Jordan!!

This was our second time using this same type of Airbnb. Great location, and it gives us just what we need. Compared to the hotels around charging triple the price, we will definitely stay here again in the future.

Summer House is in a great location, obviously right next to Brewster's Ice Cream but also an easy drive to the shops on the East side of town as well as Lake Monroe and Nashville, Indiana.

The condo was clean, comfortable, and had more than enough space for my husband and me for 1 night. It definitely seemed like a good value for the price. Once we realized where we needed to turn, it was easy to get in thanks to the QR code for the gates and the keypad on the door (note that the short-term rental agreement you have to sign online through a different site makes you confirm your identity with a picture of your driver’s license and then a selfie, so if you’re not comfortable with AI having your image, you might steer clear). Theoretically using the clubhouse facilities would be fun, but we arrived after the outdoor pool was closed (the sign said 8-8). We saw a small workout room but didn’t come across the sauna mentioned. The listing advertised being a 1 min walk from Lake Monroe, but it didn’t seem possible to actually see the water from anywhere around the condo or country club area. It’ll be a ~10 min drive to actually be on the lake. Sink water tasted bad to us.

Overall it was great place and served its purpose … Great gathering space but for 8 people to hang out in the common area it could use more seating. I would recommend this over separate hotel rooms for a group traveling together !

Peter and Suzanne are great hosts! Easy to get in contact with, had clear instructions, and the location is in a great spot to get away from the noise. Big plus for the hot tub and the continental breakfast ◡̈

Loved the location to all of the restaurants and shops! Had everything we needed for a quick getaway. The house is old and has lots of character and we really enjoyed reading about it’s history

Elisa’s place was great! She was such a wonderful host and is so kind! she invited me on a couple activities while I was there and she was super helpful whenever I needed anything.

Family of 5 and plenty of room/beds/space for everyone. All our needs were met. It really was a “just bring your clothes/personal items only as that’s all you’ll need” situation. A great place for kids as well since there was a pool, pool room, theater room, recreation room, etc. there was even an office area with a desk which helped tremendously as I typically work from home. Tons of parking space also. Angelique was responsive and helpful with any questions. She even went above and beyond to work with us to help extend our stay at the last minute due to our home reconstruction took longer than expected.

We had a great stay! The house was pristinely clean and had all the listed amenities. The proximity to Brown County State Park was a big plus. The property was so peaceful - we listened to the creek and watched the cows come in every night. Thanks Marisa!

This is a great location for visiting IU! It is a bedroom with a lovely sitting area - big windows and then a nice bathroom. A coffee maker, small fridge, microwave are available in the walk in closet area. To get to the entrance you have to walk through the backyard of the house which would be more challenging if you had mobility issues. Very cute and well decorated!

This home was perfect for our weekend in B-town. Close to IU, Kirkwood, and all the Bloomington has to offer. Host is very responsive and the living area is spacious. Would highly recommend.

We loved our stay. The house was spacious with several very comfortable beds for our crew. The kitchen was well stocked and the outdoor space was a perfect hangout. It’s such a spacious, beautiful home. Great hosts. We’d love to stay again.
