House vacation rentals in Brooklin

Me and my friends loved this BNB!! The hot tub was amazing and the pool was an awesome addition. Instructions were clear and even called to walk me through everything. Plenty of places to sleep and loads of places to go!

The house was perfect for us. Very clean and organized. Great host always responded in a timely manner. Was only about a 30 to 40 minute drive to Acadia National Park & Bar harbor, depending on traffic it could take longer. If we ever make it back to Maine I would definitely stay at the Higgins Retreat again. Thanks again Richard & Tina.

this was the 3rd time our family has stayed,again we had a fantastic time! We chose to return due to the great space, a fabulous indoor pool, great kitchen and an amazing view. Great attention to details, comfortable for large families or groups and peaceful for just 2.

We felt like at home. The house is located in a private property with swimming pool and tennis courts. It’s very clean and very peaceful. Just a clarification about the description : there’s no bathroom in the basement. Then if you come with elderly people or very young kids, it could be annoying. If you like cooking, the kitchen is very well equipped. We´ll keep a very good memory of our stay in Ducktrap Retreat during the colorful foliage season.

Booked this place for our anniversary to get away from the city for a weekend.. we found exactly what we were looking for! The hot tub was wonderful, the house was clean and cute, and we had everything we could have needed! Estelle was very responsive and gave clear instructions for everything. Would recommend this place for a quiet getaway or a small group trip in the summer!

My return visit to the Boathouse was even lovelier than I hoped it would be. The location can't be matched by anything else I've seen. I enjoyed a September visit with my dog and was lucky to have pristine weather. I lived a very simple and healthy outdoors life and came home the better for it. The Boathouse is true to its description: it is simple and rustic and uncomplicated but well-equipped, and is perfect for one-and-dog, or for two people. A little coming-and-going from the neighboring houses meant that I didn't feel isolated. Margaret is truly an exceptional and friendly host who communicates promptly and clearly. I almost hesitate to share "my" Boathouse location with too many of my back-home friends because it feels so intimate and special. I already want to be back there. I offer my deep thanks to Margaret and to the place that I could - briefly - call home.

I recently stayed with my family at this incredible Airbnb that exceeded all my expectations. This property offered a hot tub, a pool table, and a level of privacy and tranquility that made for a truly relaxing getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was being able to watch the northern lights from the hot tub – it was absolutely magical. We spent a week in Acadia, and the location was perfect, just 15-20 minutes from Bar Harbor or the nearest town. The hosts were very responsive, and the place was fantastic for families, being both kid and pet friendly. It was a week filled with unforgettable moments, and I can't recommend this place enough!

I had the pleasure of staying in Anthony's place for a week in June and everything was perfect. The post and beam structure is beautiful, lofty, and well lit. The pictures really don't do it justice. All the utilities worked well and it had every amenity, including a whirlpool tub, dish washer, and laundry. The dog park was a bonus for our pup! We plan on coming again next year and recommend it anyone looking for a private comfortable space for two.

Absolutely loved being in Stonington. Such a lovely town that felt true to Maine’s roots. Susan’s place is right at the heart of Stonington. The house has lots of rustic charm, we loved the views of the harbor. The kitchen was nice to have for breakfast and lunch, for dinner we were able to walk to restaurants right from the house. Worth noting that several restaurants are closed before the first weekend of June and/or on weekdays (Monday especially).

Beautiful place on the quite side of the island but still close to some of MDI’s and Acadia’s most beautiful hidden gems!

The Barn Owl is a truly lovely and comfortable renovated carriage house with rustic charm and contemporary amenities—an architectural delight. The home’s quiet and secluded wooded setting is just minutes away from numerous restaurants, shops and art galleries that Blue Hill is known for. One of the cleanest airbnbs I have stayed at!! Comfortable beds and lots of space!! The kitchen had everything we could need to cook for 2 days! Hui went out of her way to make us comfortable.

Lisas place is now one of our favorite places anywhere. You could throw a rock into the water from the house. Its right on the water. The bed was super comfortable, house super clean. It was awesome. Staying here, you really never need to leave the island.

Our stay was absolutely perfect for our family of four during our Acadia National Park vacation! The house was clean, well-stocked with great amenities, and had just the right amount of space for all of us to feel comfortable. The location was ideal — close enough to the park to easily reach everything we wanted to see, yet peaceful and secluded enough to truly unwind. We especially loved the outdoor space and used the fire pit almost every night. It was the perfect family getaway, and we’d return in a heartbeat!

We loved our stay on Deer Isle. It was perfect for our mother and daughter vacation. Mary was the perfect hostess and the home was delightful. We loved being walking distance from a fabulous coffee shop and a beach to watch the sunset.

10/10 would recommend Dana’s place! Easy to get to, and absolutely spotless! There is a nice walking trail to the lake to enjoy time by the water. We had a great stay, plenty to do within an hour radius of the Airbnb. As a chicken lover, I adored the flock that roamed the property. They’re very friendly :)

this place is immaculate... very open floor plan in a spacious and beautiful setting. the trees surround the home making it feel very remote and peaceful. has everything you need for a long term stay. great host as well, very responsive and attentive

Absolutely beautiful and stunning house and property . My husband, dog and I really enjoyed our vacation here. Beautiful and peaceful morning walks on the grounds, few fun visits to Acadia and Bar Harbor, delicious local restaurants , very friendly and helpful property caretakers , friendly and fun nearby towns to explore and enjoy, beautiful sunsets on beach seeing and listening to seals and birds, wonderful baths and showers in beautiful bathrooms, great kitchen, very comfortable beds, and beautiful decks for coffee or tea in morning and evenings viewing ocean. We will definitely be back. Rosemary was a wonderful host checking in to see if needed anything and very helpful with any of our questions . We are looking forward to returning here again soon .

We stayed with 5 adults and 2 dogs for 3 nights. Sydney’s home was spacious enough for all of us. We loved the outdoor space and how private it felt. Having a good outdoor space away from main roads is always important to us because of the dogs. We were even lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the Aurora borealis ! Overall great stay!

My girlfriend and I stayed at this Air BnB while exploring Acadia National Park. The private parking was great due to me having a longer truck. We loved the view from the bed room window, and the living room sliding door. It was also great to have local shops and restaurants acouple minutes down the road. Would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Maine!

This house was amazing—hosts really have thought of everything when it comes to guest experience! Kayaking out to the tiny islands in the bay a couple times allowed us to see horseshoe crabs and bald eagles up close. The fire pit was great and the “s’mores station” with supplies in the kitchen upon arrival was so cute and thoughtful. Our three kids loved this place and didn’t want to leave at the end of the week. Our boys especially loved the lower level game room with ping-pong, arcade games, and pop-a-shot. The kids also loved reading on the sofa in the upstairs loft overlooking the kitchen. The kitchen is well stocked and we cooked dinner there a couple times during the week. The hosts gave great local recommendations as well—the craft beer at Fogtown Brewing in Ellsworth (less than 15-min. drive) is excellent, and it is very kid-friendly with a large outdoor eating area and wood-fired pizza. We’d love to return to this house! Mosquitoes are fierce so bring bug repellent.

I had a lovely visit with a good friend. The air bnb stood out to us because of how beautiful the photos were and they didn’t do the place justice. It was so nice to stay in a place that felt like it was cut from a magazine. The home is in a private space but not far from restaurants and other towns with cute shops. We were close to lots of hiking trails and coastlines. I am quite sure I’ll be back!
