Great location to explore Deer Isle, Acadia (approx 1hr), Castine (45m), and the Bangor (1hr) area. Brave children and adults even swim from the beach but comfortable swimming ponds/lakes are 10m in several directions. The hot-tub is open year-round! Additional guests can be considered prior to booking.

The apartment is private and very well decorated and maintained. The view from the living room and bedroom look directly out over Herrick Bay. I think the view and setting is actually better than the pictures. Sallie is a wonderful host. I hope to make it back there next year!

My husband and I stayed at Nicole’s for 4 days in September and it was so peaceful, beautiful, and rejuvenating. The studio lets in natural light with a scenic view of a meadow in the back where we watched her horse Caspian grazing while we drank our morning coffees. It was the perfect escape into a place that felt one with nature. The beach is 3 houses down from her property and we enjoyed walking our dogs down there and exploring at low tide. The place itself was extremely clean, comfortable, and we really enjoyed cooking dinners in the kitchenette and found it to have everything we needed to make meals. Nicole was very responsive, welcoming, and so helpful with recommendations. She kindly gave us eggs from her hens as a welcome gift which we enjoyed as breakfast one of the days. Deer Isle has a lot to offer in the way of nature trails, local artists, and delicious food. We would definitely stay with her again!

Fox Bluff on the Reach—Beachfront

This is our second stay at Fox Bluff in the last eight months, and we plan to come back many more times. It’s a beautiful home, and Lo is a brilliant host. She checks in regularly to make sure you have everything you need, but isn’t intrusive. The house is extremely well equipped, but uncluttered and airy. Secluded and peaceful, but not remote. There are a few nice restaurants and shops ~5 minutes drive away, in Brooklin, and then larger Blue Hill is a pleasant 20 minute drive: there’s a top-notch independent bookstore, Blue Hill Books; the Blue Hill Co-Op; excellent coffee at Bucklyn Coffee; nice restaurants and shops, etc. There are great trails and shoreline spots all across the peninsula, plus kayaking, sailing, beachcombing, etc. So many stars at night! We’ve always felt comfortable, safe and welcome in the house, and with Lo as our host. It’s our special place and will become yours, too.

Jenny’s place is a gorgeous little standalone apartment on a quiet road; tucked into the trees, it’s a really peaceful stay. A screen porch and sunroom are lovely additions and inside feels both roomy and cozy (tall ceilings, lofted sleep space, cozy nook of a bedroom). I loved the spacious bathroom and basin tub. Jenny is communicative and friendly. I can’t recommend her place enough!

Liz was a wonderful host! Great location to stay for our friends' wedding nearby, with a beautiful view. Cozy and comfortable, it was the perfect landing spot. The kitchen is well equipped, beds and couches were comfortable--the whole place was just what we needed. My friends and I would be honored to come back!

Greats hosts and a beautiful spot in Maine to spend time. The house and the surroundings are beautiful. We saw seals, porpoises, deer, eagles, hummingbirds, and so many more types of birds just around the house. It was a wonderful stay!

We loved Kristin’s place so much we came back! Kristin was as helpful and responsive as ever and the location is just as beautiful in the fall as it was this summer. The wood stove was put to use and the cabin was so warm and cozy. Highly recommend !
