A beautiful rustic cabin in an amazing spot. Lori is a great host and is always near in her farmhouse to communicate and get you what you need. Appleton is not far from Camden / Rockland but has that rustic getaway feel. The option of adding a wonderful soak in the hot tub, wood fired sauna, massage and breakfast are available as well. I’ll be back next year! Thank you for everything, Lori!

The cabin in Penobscot was exactly what we needed for a quick trip away. Not only was it quiet and peaceful, but the cabin itself was beautiful, thoughtfully appointed, and extremely comfortable. We came up to Maine to see Acadia and Bar Harbor, and while they were a bit of a drive away, it was an easy and scenic drive. The cabin is perfect for couples and families alike, and we can’t wait to stay again in the future!

Just returned from the most fantastic 2 weeks exploring the US which included a weeks stay at Kiwi Lodge. Where to start? This was exactly as described and the perfect base for exploring Maine. The property was spotless and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. 3 beautiful bedrooms, 2 great sized bathrooms, wonderful living area and kitchen and fantastic games room. Hot tub was brilliant. The location on the lake is just perfect, we had the lake to ourselves and took the canoe out. Nearest town of Farmington has all the shops and cafes you’d need. The communication from Kay was great from the day we booked, and recommendations we took her up on were all absolutely spot on. Thank you Kay and thank you Kiwi Lodge for a holiday to remember!

My wife and I had an amazing time! We were looking to relax for a few days and this was the place! The peaceful environment and welcoming house made it very easy to unwind and escape from our busy lives. Lisa was also very responsive whenever we had any questions!

Misty’s cabin was very cute, cozy, and private. We loved soaking in the hot tub and listening to the frogs and crickets at night! The bed is kind of firm and springy but was doable for a short stay. Would definitely recommend grabbing breakfast at the cafe 1055 across the street, we ended up stopping there twice and it was delicious both times. Misty had great communication during our stay as well!

Beautiful place. Perfect getaway. Paul was very nice and helpful. Great recommendations for places to go. Very responsive to any questions we had. I could sit on the deck for days and watch the pond and soak up the sun. Only regrets was we had more rain than sun and unable to enjoy a bonfire. But thats Maine. Lol Cant wait to plan a trip back.

Perfect location. Parking space right out front of the cabin. Quiet street. Felt safe. Picnic table in the back of our cabin. Less than a minute walk to the beach. We were able to walk to the pier and didn't have to drive at all for the time we were there. We stayed in Cabin #6 and it was a perfect size for myself and sister in law. Jason let us keep our car parked at the cabin for a few hours after checkout so we could spend a little more time at the beach and not have to drive and find parking somewhere else. Would def. rent one of the cabins again.

What a wonderful spot! Gorgeous, quiet pond and relaxing wood fired sauna. Rheanna is a super responsive and helpful host. We'll be back! Just FYI - this cabin is a "three season" structure. Although it was super comfortable, it felt a little more like camping than we originally expected with some cool nights and mornings, a few insect frinds, and a short walk to the shared bathrooms and kitchen area.

Off the grid enough to feel completely alone in the woods, but close enough to where you can get dinner or find other things to do with only a short drive. Highly recommend.

Overall, we had a very peaceful and smooth stay at this beautiful cabin! We found it with no troubles, hosts were very responsive, and the boats and board games were nice touches. We had a few minor issues (coffee container was empty and firewood costs were a bit steep), but we’d recommend the cabin and would love to come back.

We come every year. It’s a great quiet place.

If you want to find solitude, this is the place to go. Set in the woods, 10mt drive from Freeport, the A frame cottage was just the place to chill. You could use it as a launching pad for Portland, New Brunswick and Freeport. Bow Market in Freeport offers a wide range of food and beverages.

Great cabin for my family of 4 and our dog for a quick ski trip. I have 2 boys aged 14 and 11 who loved the loft area. We stayed to ski at Saddleback for 2 days, so was in the cabin l for just breakfast and then evening. Is described accurately in listing. Enjoyed our time!

We stayed here to be near Bates college for graduation weekend. We felt right at home! The cabin was warm and inviting... cozy, clean and safe! It was so secluded, with a gorgeous view over the water. We would love to return when we can simply stay in the cabin and enjoy the peace and quiet.

We had a great stay at Leah's cabin. The place was warm and cozy, and we enjoyed the lookout onto the beautiful frozen lake. Leah was very proactive and responsive. A great stay!

The location of the cabin was perfect for us and we couldn't have asked for a better view from the screened in porch. The cabin was just as described, and the beds were very comfortable! Whitney and Robert were easy to communicate with and we had a great stay.

Private and peaceful Beautiful area and lots of great food to choose from . We had a rainy weekend, but we still had a great time! One of the few places we could find with a king size bed when you have one at home it’s a must when you travel !!!

This cabin is one of the most wonderful places I have been. My partner and I stayed just under a week and we enjoyed every second! It was so peaceful and relaxing to be away in such a beautiful home in an amazing area!

Michael’s place is a sanctuary filled with local art and whimsical artifacts. Very pleasing space. Lots of outdoor seating areas possible and a stunning view across the path directly to the water. We had coffee on the rocks with the sun sparkling on the waves. Morning birdsong in the quiet of a peaceful setting away from all traffic. There are beautiful area beaches, and Portland is full of great food and fun including amazing farmers markets. We loved it!!!

I can absolutely, highly recommend David. Literally the only issue was that we wished the dock was out on the water. But everything else was perfect,and we just saw that as a minor inconvenience. It was beautiful, very clean, nicely decorated, beautiful scenery and kayaking available. The fishing was great, as we caught quite a few for dinner☺️ David was a perfect host and was available any time we had a question. He is very polite and courteous, and frankly fun to talk with. 😊

The cabin was exactly as described snd expected. It was very spacious and peaceful with great views. It was also close enough driving distance to restaurants, grocery, etc.
