Walk or cycle from the doorstep or sit on the patio and gaze at the spectacular peaks of Shuttlingsloe or Shining Tor. Being just a mile from the famous Cat & Fiddle Road, the towns of Buxton & Macclesfield are only a 15 minute car ride away. Off road parking. Smallish dog by arrangement.

Thorneycroft Shepherds Hut offers short stay holidays for one to two people as an idyllic getaway to the peace and quiet of the countryside. It is situated in a quiet corner of our yard with uninterrupted views down our fields in the picturesque village of Kettleshulme. Great for exploring, a mile up the road the is Goyt Valley and Windgather Rocks, ideal for walkers, climbers and cyclists. In the village there is a local pub, The Swan, that serves excellent food, booking recommended.

This is a modern conversion of an extension to our house which used to be a bakery. It is a compact self contained one bedroom ground floor apartment with its own entrance, small double bedroom with en suite shower room and cosy lounge with sofa bed and kitchenette. The apartment is self catering but we provide food and drink essentials. Well behaved animals may stay too. Good for walkers, cyclists, anglers or romantics, but everyone is welcome to rest and rise at the Old Bakery.

The Old Vicarage Coach house was originally built around 1750 as part of a farmhouse. In 1860 the coach house for a Vicarage for the local church. Now completely refurbished it is warm with stunning views across farmland to the Pennine hills. It has its own entrance where there is a washer dryer. Up the oak staircase to a kitchen with fridge, microwave/oven and induction hob, bathroom ( shower), double bed with sofa and TV. Close to the Lyme park, 15 minutes from the Airport .
