The cottage is close to hiking trails and lakes and by car close to the unique wooden town Eksjö, the moose park in Skullaryd and skurugata. If you want to go on a day trip, it's an hour to Astrid Lindgren's world. All of the rooms in the cottage are newly renovated with care to preserve the feeling of this soldier cottage from the 18th century. There are 4 beds and a sofa bed. Fishing is available as you have access to a boat about 1.5 km from the cabin.

You'll even have access to the wood-fired sauna on the property. The accommodation is well-suited for families of up to 4 people. There are wonderful hiking/biking opportunities in the area. Taberg, a 15-minute bike ride away, has a nature reserve with several hiking trails. Jönköping is 15 km away. The property has its own patio.

There are good opportunities for forest walks, swimming and fishing. On the property there are goats, chickens and dogs. Hopefully you won't be scared of dogs. They usually go loose on the grounds. The nearest store is in Sandsjöfors 4 km, Ekenässjön 12 km or in Vetlanda, Eksjö, Nässjö and Sävsjö, all located 25 km from Djuvanäs.

About 4 km from the cottage, there is a grocery store, pizzeria and train station.
