Fantastic stay! Steven was a terrific host with great recommendations. Steven left the essentials which was very much appreciated with two small children. The Boys loved feeding the chickens and meeting Meg the dog! Would highly recommend staying in this beautiful home!!

Had a lovely weekend break at Rosie’s property, the location was excellent just off the Rhyd Ddu path and in a lovely quaint quiet area. The cottage had everything you could ask for and was very clean and tidy, the hot tub being a lovely little touch. Had a really great experience from start to finish, Rosie was very helpful and the instructions provided were excellent. Would recommend to anyone contemplating!

We loved our stay with Nick and Charlotte. They were very helpful and made us feel very at home in beautiful surroundings. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub after a long walk in the mountains!

Wow. Danny's place is beautiful inside and out. The hot tub was easy to use and the house was super comfy. Llanberis has everything you'd need and is a great gateway to North Wales. Something to do in all weathers.

We stayed with our baby and 3 dogs. Lovely cosy cottage with everything we needed, including high chair and books/toys. Perfect location and beautiful surroundings. Paul was great to chat to and gave good local reccomendations for dog walks, beaches and places to eat. Hot tub was ideal as well!! Would recommend

Great stay if you’re looking for somewhere you wake up with with beautiful scenery, not too far off the beaten track, making surrounding areas easily accessible!

Jeston was friendly and came round to say hi and check everything was OK. He introduced his horse to my friend. Great loction for our needs. Supermarket and petrol station is a 5 minute drive away. Snowdon Rangers Route was a 30 minute drive away and Cadair Idris Pony track was a 40 minute drive away. (Zip World is around a 20 minute drive away) I believe there is a bus stop near the property to get you to Porthmadog if wanting to get the Sherpa Bus to Snowdon. Maps show the property been near busy roads, but we never heard any traffic noises. Location is beautiful with views of mountains and a steam train track.

We stayed for 3 nights and absolutely loved it. The house was full of charm cosy stone walls, a high-beamed ceiling, and a beautiful surrounding garden with ferns and wildflowers that made it feel like a peaceful retreat. Everything we needed was there, and the detailed guidebook was really handy for settling in and exploring the area. Even though we didn’t meet Belinda in person, check-in was smooth via a lockbox and she was incredibly responsive and helpful over messages. It really felt like a home away from home. Would definitely recommend this place if you’re after a tranquil countryside escape.

Such a special place! This is our second visit to Hafod y Rhedrwydd and certainly wont be the last! Our first visit was in the autumn and the second in the spring, on both occasions the surrounding landscape did not disappoint! The cottage itself is surrounded by the rolling welsh mountains and is nestled between two beautiful streams. Inside, the oil fire and cooker provide ample heating and also heats the water for a nice hot (deep) bath! The generator supplies enough power for all your everyday day electronics including charging your phone and other devices. This is the ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and have a deserved break and reset! Roger and Sally are great hosts who are extremely helpful and on hand with a phone call whenever you need them. All in all yet another fantastic and satisfying visit! See you again soon.

Lovely stay at Rhyd Ddu. The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed. The bath was perfect after a long day of hiking. The pub in the village provided excellent food and drink. Not far to Beddgelert for some other restaurants and about a 30 minute drive to Porthmadog for supermarkets. Excellent location for exploring north Wales. Would highly recommend.

We had a lovely few days at Mison’s place. A really comfortable, spotless cottage with a fantastic view over the sea. The deck area is super and perfect relaxing or watching the sunset. Mison had left helpful local information, which made our stay even better by enjoying local eateries. We would all happily return to explore the area further. Thank you Mison.

This beautiful historic cottage ticked all the boxes. Wonderful surroundings, secluded, wood burning fire, badger watching every evening and fantastic responsive hosts! Would recommend to anyone looking for a nature break and to explore North Wales. It was a perfect first family holiday. My parents are already looking to book their own stay here and we will be coming back again! Thank you so much!

The cottage is exactly as described and in photos. We enjoyed our visit and the highlight being the hot tub and tv room. Beds were comfy and had everything we needed for self catering. Would stay again if we were in the area.

Located in friendly village. Comfortable accommodation - loved the beds and shower. Great home base for seeing multiple sites in north Wales. Would stay there again.

Gwalia Cottage is a lovely little quaint Welsh Mining cottage. It's been tastefully improved and the thought put into that makes the cottage welcoming and homely from the moment you first open the front door. It's really well appointed with everything that you might need having been considered and addressed. The cottage is ideally located for adventurers and sightseers equally. With ZipWorld and the Llechwedd Slate Mine just a short walk up the road. The peaks of Snowdonia are all around just a short drive in almost any direction. If you are sightseers then a short drive away is Harlech with its World Heritage Castle and the world renowned Portmerrion not to far away from Gwalia cottage. Would we stay at Gwalia again you might ask, YES absolutely. There is one small negative to this quaint little cottage, and it's not Susan's fault, that's the parking. But actually to be honest this is probably better than parking on the road outside the cottage as it's far far quieter and safer.

First impressions were great, spotlessly clean, homely but uncluttered. Appliances and cooking equipment were well thought out and we didn't need anything else. Communication was friendly and helpful. A perfect spot for a quiet, get away from it all holiday with sandy beaches and the coastal path on the doorstep and interesting places to discover just a short drive away. We loved our stay and hope to return and explore some more. Thank you
