Cottage vacation rentals in Big Sur

Really hard to describe how wonderful the whole back yard is. Sunset here were amazing. All kinds of wildlife. The smell of the California hills in springtime always refreshes. Dogs loved it (and couldn't quite believe it). We swung on the swing, sat in the gazebo, enjoyed basking in the balcony views.

My second stay with Dian and Jay. They are great hosts and have a beautiful property.

What a GEM this house is!!! You will not be disappointed staying at Shari's home! From the great communication & responsive host ... to the welcoming cookies... to the private adorable backyard and extensive amenities ... it has it ALL! Great location all around and just a short walk to the beach too! We will definitely be back!

Channon and Randal were so friendly and helpful! And the property is so beautiful to see, from the pond with fishes and turtles to the large oak trees and outdoor fireplace, my wife and I couldn't get enough. This property is definitely worth a visit. The large property size combined with it's location in wine country really made it feel more private and secluded, just what I was looking for. I am grateful I got to stay here, and also grateful for their hospitality and accommodations!

Beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood in Cambria. Katy’s place had everything we needed to relax. We loved our “home base” to return to in between eating tasty food in town and enjoying the nearby hiking trails and ocean views. The hot tub is the cherry on top!

Wow!!! Just the home feeling was amazing, we went in the jacuzzi early in the mornings and the slight fog felt perfect for the privacy feeling, the safe and comfortable atmosphere was very pleasant. We were able to cook meals and the cottage had all the necessary utensils needed. The directions were accurate and helpful and found the cottage right away. The customer service and messaging response was amazing and we will definitely be coming back.

We absolutely loved this cottage, it was the perfect location, a quick walk to downtown. The place itself looked just like the photos, was clean and had everything we needed! We will be back!

We had an amazing stay, and the property is fantastic. Everything was super well communicated, including any questions we had. The property was quiet and private, with a lovely deck in the sun. Kitchen had everything you needed, as did the rest of the property including the cool milk bottle display. The rest of the property was spotless and we really enjoyed staying! Bravo to the hosts.

Had a great stay at Tahiti hut. Walkable to the beach and up enough from the main road that it was very peaceful and quiet. A little smaller than anticipated but we didn’t mind because most time was spent outdoors. The projector was an unexpected surprise and led to some great movie nights. Loved the outdoor space too. Kitchen was large enough to be workable and had a few basics. No dishwasher though. Would recommend and would stay again!

It was a cosy cottage in a great, quiet location. Host was very friendly and communicative. Overall, it was just what we were looking for!

Just returned home after a few days at Aaron’s place. This is the type place that restores one’s soul. The home is cozy, clean and comfortable. Beautiful updated kitchen and amazing deck. Really great location. As a side note, I forgot a few items in the closet after we had left. Aaron sent them to me and wouldn’t let me pay-I just can’t thank him enough. Completely recommend this place…we hope to return soon.

Always love staying at Janet’s place. This was our fifth time and are planning on staying in November. Almost want to keep it to myself because it gets booked up 😉

I really appreciated Diana's timely responses and very helpful information. I loved that she had a video explaining and showing exactly what we could expect, and moreover, that the house exactly matched those expectations. the house was as described, very calming and in a peaceful neighborhood a very short walk (3 min) from awesome views of the ocean. Great value and just what I had hoped for. Thanks, Diana, for a beautiful stay!

Sean was a warm and welcoming host with great communication. We enjoyed our stay and the area is near the Yosemite park spots (1 hr drive to entrance) we wanted to visit. This place is a slice of heaven, absolutely perfect. It's well furnished and comfortable, it had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend for anyone visting the park. If traveling from west, suggest you stop at Merced Walmart for groceries on the way there to stock up. There's not many options after that.

Sean & Jen’s listing is what AirBnB is all about. A lovely , tranquil and elegant space built probably for themselves and being shared to fellow guests. Great amenities and well setup. The creek is magical . We enjoyed our stay and hope to return .

You can't beat this location, with surf spots and coffee shops just a few blocks away. Not to mention Eric's place has a really nice backyard and garden that we really enjoyed!

This place is in a great location and so close to the beach and other attractions. Loved that we could walk to Harbor cafe and get some breakfast. It was clean and fully stocked. Very nice place. It’s perfect for a small family that doesn’t mind sharing doors to the bathroom. It has a nice big space in the front to hang out as well as a small backyard space.

Our stay was amazing. The house was easy to find and the instructions were very detailed. Parking was great the whole time but we were there before peak season. The location is unbeatable, perfect for going to and fro from the beach and the restaurants. The space was very inviting and clean. We had everything we needed and more, including beach toys and laundry detergent! We would definitely visit again.

We didn't want to leave. The house was so cozy and the back yard kept is entertained when we were there. the shops were in walking distance and so were some restaurants. It was literally within minutes of everything closer to Morro Rock and the beach where the Kite Festival was being held. We will be booking again!!!!

We loved our stay at Korie's place. The view and location were wonderful. Thank you for the bottle of wine and chocolates and nuts upon arrival! Such a nice touch. Appreciated that coffee was available for us as well. The firepit worked perfectly and we enjoyed cocktails and appetizers on the balcony both nights. Thank you Korie for a great stay!
