We are in Geneva, Illinois. We are LGBTQ+friendly. Our space is ideal for shorter stays and visitors on the go . Not suitable for staycations. Quiet area. I affectionately refer to this house as “The House That Built Me.” Referencing (of course) the title of country artist Miranda Lamberts hit song, from 2010. The lyrics couldn’t be more accurate. My name is Crystal, and this is The House That Built Me. My father bought this property in 1970. He married my mother and her two children in 1976. I was brought home from the hospital in 1977 & raised here with my siblings, until eventually we all married and left home.

Beautiful view! The house was cute and clean and very comfortable. The pictures don’t do it justice! Also, the Fox River Trail is right out the back door. It’s great for walking, biking or running along the river.

Staying here felt like we were very much in our own home. It was easy to be comfortable here and there were lots of unexpected conveniences like seasonings and a wide variety of utensils, dishes, and cookware. I recommend a 10/10 and will definitely ask to stay again when we’re in the area.
