Here you can live completely undisturbed and alone and enjoy lazy days, or exciting trips in the woods and on the plains. It takes about 40 minutes to the tourist town of Rjukan, where you can find a water park, the cross-country ski track, Vemork Industrial Workers' Museum, Gaustatoppen and the ski resort on Gausta. Cozy Eldhus/bakstehus from 1850. The cottage has been converted into an annex/small cottage where there is one room with a double bed. Dining area inside. Outdoor kitchen with fridge, and gas cooktop. Barbecue. Bathroom in the neighboring building. Duvet and pillow are in the cabin. Bed linen is included in the rental price. There is a short distance to the mountains, Tinnsjøen, bike tours and tours in the surrounding area. During summertime you can swim and fish in the river just below. The tourist municipality offers varied experiences and activities for everyone.

The cabin is located by Tinnsjøen lake with parking right beside it. It is 6 kilometers from Mæl ferry rental in the direction of Atrå. It is 17 kilometres to Rjukan, 25 kilometres to Gaustatoppen mountain and beautiful mountain areas. Beautiful views, plenty of sun. There is no running water in the cabin, but water tap just outside. Free wood for the wood stove. When there's frost and freezing temperatures, there's no water in the tap outside. Water must be collected from the host. Rowing boat is available for free. Outboard motor 1-3 days NOK 400, -

At 920 meters above sea level, you will have a fantastic view of Gaustatoppen, peaceful surroundings, and very good sun conditions from morning to evening. A short distance to Snaufjellet, great hiking opportunities, fishing, swimming, and cross-country skiing, as well as mountain farm life at Håvardsrud and the cultural heritage of Rjukan, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Gaustablikk Skisenter is 50 km from the cabin. The cabin is well suited for families and guests who want tranquility, nature, views and great experiences all year round.

Lower your heart rate at the top of Stolpehytta! Stolpehytta is located 5 minutes away from Blaafarveværket in Modum municipality, right next to the climbing park Høyt & Lavt Modum. Here you can find tranquility among the treetops. The large windows provide a panoramic view over the landscape and the night sky. Built in solid wood, with an area of 27 m2, it gives just enough space for what you need for a relaxing trip away from everyday life. If you want activity, you can rent e-bikes, stroll down to the climbing park or explore the local area.

Newer cabin with great views and nice hiking opportunities

Viking age hut listed in 2017 in Øygarden hut area. It is a small cabin area with good distance between the cabins and you have great hiking opportunities just outside the door. The cabin has 3 bedrooms. There is room for 7, but it is best suited for couples or families with children. There is a personal touch to the cabin as it is often used by us as well, so there will be basic goods in kitchen cabinets and there may be goods in refrigerators with durability. Use whatever you need during your stay.
