This breathtaking retreat is perfect for a private getaway in the woods of the Pacific Northwest. A nature lover's paradise just 50 miles from Portland! You'll have 2 peaceful acres and a gorgeous creek all to yourself. And Speelyai Park, which is right on Lake Merwin, is only a short walk away. An hour drive (or less) will take you to some of the great natural wonders of the Pacific Northwest, including: Mount St. Helens The Ape Cave Lava Canyon Lower Lewis River Falls ...and more!
“This is truly the most magical property. We went when most attractions near Mount Saint Helens were closed due to COVID, and it was pouring rain, and we still had a wonderful time since this place is so delightful. The natural surroundings are beautiful, you’re tucked away in this lush forest with moss covered trees and a flowing creek. There are several different seating areas down by the creek and several hammocks. Since it was raining we hardly took advantage of all this place has to offer, but there are also extensive covered patios, so there’s opportunities to still enjoy sitting outside while remaining dry. We even had a little fire in the covered pizza kitchen area. The little pathways and lighting around the property make it feel like a really special little retreat. We stayed in the suite which as adorable (great bathroom, beautiful view, another covered patio), and the other couple we went with stayed in the main cabin, but there would have been plenty of space for a larger group with all the the separate buildings. I would love to come back and stay a week to explore all the area has to offer. Highly recommend!”
The Little House on the Hill was built from pallet wood by my uncle over 20 years ago. It has about 300 sq. ft. of usable space. Decor is Native American. Rustic feel with relative privacy. Access to washer/dryer/ wi-fi in main house. Can hear creek in gully over the hill. Enjoy the possibility of seeing a pair of eagles soar overhead, or hummingbirds coming to feed. Fun little getaway to get back to the simple things!
“Renée's place is THE most amazing Airbnb I have stayed in. Before check-in, she provided detailed instructions on getting there and once I have arrived, she greeted me in person and went through every piece of information I may need during the stay. I won't hesitate for a second to rebook in the future for the comfort of the place, the majestic view of Columbia River it offers (you HAVE to see it in person!) and most importantly, for the great pleasure I had talking with the hosts. Renée also encouraged me to play the keyboard as she learned I am practicing. She is a wonderful host and a kind person. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend.”
Thiselle Creek Farmstay is located on 20 acres of flat and wooded farmland two minutes from the Moulton Falls and approx 12 minutes from Battle Ground. If you're feeling adventurous we are perfectly located to be your home-base as you explore the natural beauty Clark County has to offer! The property is a working farm and you will be able to enjoy the company of our Dorper sheep (and baby lambs!) and pigs.
“The yurt was awesome it was everything we expected there were some issues with the tub/sauna but they were very quick to help in whatever ways they could. If you have any questions or concerns all you need to do is ask and they'll be more than willing to help. The sheep were awesome to check out and we could see the chelatchie train from the property! At night the coyotes get really active and vocal, it was a really cool experience if you have dogs make sure to keep them within eyesight/ on leash if there prone to wondering. We enjoyed our stay very much and will be back again!”
