We have stayed at many Airbnb’s around the world and this was by far the best experience we have ever had! Kiriaki was there to meet us ( exactly on time ) and brought us to Catis Stone House a short walk away. She explained all the amenities and provided us with fresh fruit, a great bottle of wine and lots of bottled water. The cottage was spotless with quality furnishings , the space had been newly renovated but still had Venetian charm with ancient flagstones and stone walls. The courtyard was extremely private with no one overlooking you and was perfect for a private dinner or sunbathing. The location down a quiet historic pedestrian street was fantastic. You are in the centre of the village yet you felt as if you are in the countryside. The hosts Kiriaki and Michhalis are the best hosts and we count them as friends now !

Stayed two weeks in Lemon Tree House, partly working remotely, and loved it. Anthoula is a wonderful host, the house is in a perfect location: quiet, a couple of minutes from the seafront and restaurants with pretty, flower-filled front and back gardens. Kitchen is well-equipped, friendly welcome pack and twice weekly change of linen and towels. It is very good value for money - I can't wait to go back next year! The village has a great beach and plenty of choice of bars and tavernas and an easy bus ride into Chania if you don't have a car.

Fantastic complex between two picturesque villages. We especially enjoyed the tranquility, the beautiful garden and the pool with views. There are good restaurants, cafes and supermarkets in the villages. However, you need a car, the accommodation is accessible via a gravel road. Below the complex is directly a hiking trail and the location is perfect for exploring the west of the island. The place is easy to find according to the instructions of the host, the self-check-in worked smoothly. The studio is conveniently equipped, a fixed stove instead of two mobile stoves and egg cups would have been nice. The mattresses were a bit hard for our taste and the water was not always hot enough for showering. But these are just little things that didn't affect our stay in any way. If we travel to Crete again, we would always spend our vacation in this great accommodation. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay at this vacation home. The location is quiet and offers a great view of the sea – perfect for unwinding. The house is tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you need. The landlords were friendly and helpful and made the stay pleasant. All in all, a nice house for a relaxing beach vacation.

Stunning view of the sea AND the mountains! Super clean place in a quiet corner. I especially enjoyed visits from a beautiful, friendly and adventurous tuxedo black kitty I call TopCat during my week-long stay. The covered patio is just absolutely amazing - the hammock beckons if you are craving chill time. (:

Absolutely magical! Roula’s stone house is an incredibly picturesque and charming place to stay. The terrace is a dream – shaded naturally by a tree and offering a stunning view of the sunset. The house is beautifully and comfortably furnished, with everything you might need. A little heads-up for tall people: the doorway to the terrace is a bit low – you might want to duck (don’t worry, we laughed every time!). There are some fantastic tavernas just around the corner, and it’s the perfect starting point for scenic hikes through the area. We loved every minute of our stay and would come back in a heartbeat!

Everything about this place is perfect. It is clean and very comfortable. I have a hard time with stairs so the futon sleeper and downstairs bathroom were very convenient. It is a very short walk to everything you might want to do, including getting the bus to Chania. I look forward to booking here again.

A Slice of Heaven in Crete. Our stay in this beautifully designed home was nothing short of magical. Surrounded by peaceful olive groves and bathed in Cretan sunshine, every moment felt serene and special. The sweet little pool was the perfect place to unwind, and the home itself was as stunning as it was comfortable. The hosts were warm, thoughtful, and made us feel truly welcome. We left feeling rested, grateful, and already planning our return.

A brilliant stay in a beautiful apartment. The views were outstanding out over the ocean. Apartment immaculate and had everything we could possibly need. Perfect location for visiting Chania, Lake Kournas etc..Two observations for future visitors - highly recommend having a car whilst staying, we did and wouldn’t have wanted to be there without (it’s on a very steep hill!). Also, we visited in April. The pool is not heated and was too cold us to swim which was a shame and not something I clocked when booking. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay!

Gabrielle is an exceptional host. She was able to give advice on the area so that we could make the most of our stay. Always attentive to ensure that our family lacks nothing (toys for children, adapted bed, etc.). I would recommend the accommodation, it is comfortable and in a peaceful location in the heart of a small village.

This is a fantastic apartment, which delivers 100% of what the description says. Spacious, new, elegant and luxurious. Large terrace with a jacuzzi (with a great view of the town and bay - and of the stars at night). There is also a common area with a very nice pool which we more or less had to ourselves the entire stay. It's a very short stroll (5mins) from Kalyves town with various restaurant options, grocery shops, and cafes. The town itself is very relaxed, and offers a more genuine greek vibe than some of the other more touristy towns. We were 2 adults and an infant, and it was perfect for us. We didn't have a car this time, but the host helped us with transportation and also has some local car rental agencies to recommend if you find yourself in need of one. There are a lot of apartments in the complex that you can rent, and I don't think you can do wrong with any of them, to be honest. We recommend this property for all its worth. My husband and I have only stayed 4 nights at Nikos' Kafenion, but it was a real pleasure. The place is an architectural gem, in an old, charming traditional house, and we were delighted to blend with the local community, even for a few days. We had dinners at a taverna in the village, among locals, kids, cats and dogs, and went for an evening coffee at the coffee place in the vicinity, too. It was our greatest pleasure to enjoy our breakfasts on the terrace, and to spend late evenings there, too. It is a quiet place in a nice village, and that was all that we needed for our vacation. Nikos has a well deserved reputation. He was friendly, helpful, attentive, answered to all our questions, and gave us valuable suggestions, every time. We've rented one of his cars and went to different beaches in the area, and to Kournas Lake. We would love to return to Crete and stay again at Nikos, and we definitely appreciate his hospitality and generosity. Efcharisto poli!

Well-located apartment a few steps from the center of a small quiet seaside resort with lots of bars and restaurants. Ground floor accommodation that stays cool and does not require air conditioning, which is very nice. Direct access to a covered terrace on the edge of the garden for outdoor dining. Eva and George are very pleasant hosts, knowing how to remain discreet although living on the upper floor, available in case of problems and providing good advice.

Great location, very short walk to the port, beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony. The host was extremely responsive and always willing to help make our stay comfortable! Apartment was very clean and the jacuzzi is a great feature. Multiple cafe’s/bars just downstairs with great food, drinks, and service. Highly recommend staying at this property if you want to be close to the venetian port and all Chania has to offer.

Maryellen communicated really well before and during the stay. The house is a fantastic location but you need a car or taxi to get to local restaurants and into Chania. Maryellen even booked the taxi for us to Chania. The house is fully equipped with everything. The views are amazing over looking the sea. The outside space is great with magical pool. It’s on a hill so probably not suitable for people who find it difficult with stairs and because the pool is an infinity pool you would need to be careful of children in the pool. The house is private and in a quiet location. We will be going back, one of the best Airbnb we have been to.

What a comfortable stay we had at Judy and Mike’s beautiful Apartment Francesca! Suited our needs very well indeed. Fabulous location & views. Loved the private patio and relaxing by the pool. Judy and Mike are indeed ‘Super Hosts’, nothing was too much trouble. Recommended some fabulous taverna’s. It was a pleasure meeting them and their lovely dogs! Why we loved the location: Plenty of walks from the doorstep. Vamos only a short distance with excellent taverna’s and a great coffee shop next to the tourist office in Vamos Old Town. A short drive to Kalives which has a beautiful beach and seafood taverna’s on the beach front. Look forward to our return and would love to stay longer next time! A big thank you to Konstantinos and Stelina, who provide a beautiful apartment for their guests. We loved the layout of the rooms, very modern with floor-to-ceiling windows, a kitchen where nothing was missing (even a salad spinner and a measuring cup were there!) and with a comfortable bed. Towels are changed every 3 days and bed linen every 5 days, real luxury! It smells very pleasant, thanks to the well-chosen incense sticks. For me, a good-smelling apartment is always very important and we appreciated that as well. The balcony is airy and in the shade after 10:00 am, so it is pleasant to stay there and the beautiful view of Souda Bay is simply wonderful. The city center is about 10 minutes by car, so you can quickly get to the center, but also quickly get out again in the evening. Ideal for people who want to enjoy city life, but prefer to have it a little quieter. Thank you again for everything!!

This is absolutely our favorite Airbnb that we've ever stayed in (and we've stayed in a lot). The place is adorable. Katerina is very responsive and lives right by the apartment. The view is wonderful, and both the living room and twin bedroom have doors that open onto that view. It has everything you need and more, with Katerina providing treats and even cereal and milk for that first morning. The air conditioning worked well, but there is also a lovely breeze from the sea. There are tons of restaurants and cafes just below the apartment as well as with 5 and 10 minutes walk in Old Town. It would be comfortable for a couple and a third person (such as a child) or two people, each with their own room. The washing machine was great to have, and you can dry clothes on the lines off the balcony. We did not want to leave.

It is amazing wonderful place and Avtwuia is amazing host, the surroundings are outstanding, we would like to come back. Highly recommend

The place was very clean, which is of most importance to me. The host sent clear instructions ahead of time making it very easy to access the studio. The place was slightly smaller than I expected, but that was not a big issue since it was only for my husband and me. I would definitely recommend the place.

This Airbnb is just like the photos and worth the distance from Old Town (about 0.4 miles). The terrace wraps around the entire flat and has many seating options in sunshine and in shade. It’s surrounded by beautiful, well-cared for plants with a stunning view of the Sea of Crete and of Chania itself. You can take the stairs or there is an elevator. The hostess left some local treats for us as well as a lovely bouquet of flowers! Absolutely top notch! There is also air conditioning if the fresh air is too warm. The hostess was friendly and responsive. This was the best of 4 Airbnb’s we stayed in throughout Europe. The only thing to note is that the electricity is only on when the card is in the holder by the door. So, if you leave with the dryer or dishwasher running or charging devices, they will pause until you return.

Anna is an incredibly kind and helpful host, and her lovely apartment is located walking distance to the beautiful old town. It was perfect for my short visit. :)

From the start, Sia and her husband were very warm and welcoming. At check-in, they walked us through the apartment, which looked exactly like the photos. The view is fantastic from the front balcony. Everything was very clean. Loved that there were electronic blinds for most windows. We rented a car and there was a parking spot available for us in Sia's garage. We did find the bed a bit too hard for our tastes (to each their own!), and we sometimes had trouble with the wifi dropping in the main bedroom. Overall, we loved Sia's place and would stay there again!
