We had a wonderful stay at Villa Despina! The location is fantastically quiet, perfect for relaxing, and at the same time a good base for exploring the south of Crete. The villa itself is very clean, lovingly furnished and well equipped – from the kitchen to the beautiful outdoor area with pool, everything was well maintained. We particularly liked the warm hospitality and the little touches when we arrived. We felt right at home! A real highlight: the fantastic view of the surrounding nature and the sunsets in the evening. We will be happy to come back and can recommend Villa Despina to anyone looking for peace, comfort and Cretan warmth. Thank you for everything!

My boyfriend and I stayed 5 days in the accommodation and were very pleased with our stay. The apartment is on the first floor of a beautiful modern house. The apartment was very well equipped, there was nothing missing. The beautiful terrace with a hot tub is worth mentioning. The location is great. It is about 15 minutes drive to the center of Chania. Several beaches are within walking distance. The house itself is in a quiet location. It offers a good base for exploring Crete. Katerina and her husband are great hosts. Upon arrival, a fresh Greek salad, oranges and wine awaited us. We got fresh vegetables from the garden a few days later. Katerina was always available and very friendly. We felt very comfortable. Overall, we would recommend the accommodation! 5/5 stars!

Beautiful, clean, and very responsive. The stay was as advertised. This home is well maintained, comfortable , and close to everything.

The house was lovely and very convenient to get to from the airport. The surroundings were idyllic and we had a very peaceful stay here. Kostula was a brilliant host, always very responsive when we had any questions. We were supplied with basic amenities for cooking which is always a bonus as we didn't need to go straight to the shops for oil, salt, coffee, etc. There was also a homemade cake waiting for us on arrival and we were given some fresh eggs from their hens when we met Kostula and her husband! All in all it was a brilliant stay with wonderful hosts and we would love to visit again!

Adorable little house where we felt good as soon as we arrived. Very nice garden with deckchairs, tables, barbecue and the best of the best, an outdoor shower, a marvel. You can hear the cicadas, the birds and the bells of the sheep. Ideal location, close to Visses and not far from the sea. We only think about going back. Recommended address as well as Vassilis' hosting, who treated us to his little interventions and always responded to all our requests. Bravo and thank you again.

This place was super cute and very convenient in a area in town that is close to everything but not loud at night and less touristy. I would definitely recommend it and he was very responsive as a host. Every time I call he was there right away and answered right away. The place is also very attractive.

Dimi’s place offered the best base for our holiday which was to relax, admire the sea and the mountains and local villages. Great location to reach both directions Chania and Rethymno, south coast. Very quiet and peaceful surroundings. We loved each day of our stay!

Four friends and I stayed in this rustic, charming, beautiful and overall homie space for 7 days while we attending a wedding and we all unanimously could not have been more happy! This is a space that you feel so great walking into over and over. I had the best meal of my life with the entire party literally around the corner… maybe 20 steps and we were all in glee. The entire area in old town is gorgeous. You cannot see it any other way. There is a vibe to match your needs somewhere around another corner no matter what you look for on your trip. Shopping was excellent. The feeling of safety was consistent throughout the trip. People are friendly and common throughout the town even throughout the wee morning hours as many places do stay open quite late to always provide an option. I had said by day 1 I knew I would already come back here. Vassilis was a proactive and responsive gentleman in hosting. Truly a pleasure to deal with him and I really do hope to return for vacation. A really nice spot in a quiet, rural area with great views of the mountains. The place was very clean and perfect for a couple. The pool is really nice and we had it to ourselves the majority of the time. The BBQ was a nice touch once I got the hang of it. The place is really close to the local village which had an amazing range of quality restaurants for a place of its size. It’s also located quite nicely between Chaina and Rethymno which was ideal. Overall a great experience and highly recommended.

This is a 10/10 Villa. We have travelled a lot and this is by far the best Villa we have stayed in. We were a family of 9 (5 adults and 4 children aged 2, 4, 9 and 11). The views are stunning, the pool is big, all the rooms have private bathroom. Jacuzzi is also perfect for when the sun goes down! Theo was a wonderful host helping us, giving good recommendations and suprising as with some nice gestures. This Villa really is a Gem as the name suggests. As for the surroundings - it is 100% private! For me the best part was that there is a nice local village to walk to every night. There are some amazing Tavernas/Restaurants with delicious food and reasonable prices (also a mini-market). There is also a nice beach with a good restaurant and a nice cozy beach bar - it is only a 10 minute walk from the villa. And if you rent a car then it is a 10 minute ride to the Rethymnon old town, which is also a very nice place with lots of shops and restaurants. The Villa was worth every euro!

We spent 14 wonderful days in Marilena's residence. From the first moment we felt very welcome. Marilena is not only incredibly hospitable and friendly, but also very sweet and nice to children. The place was sparkling clean and well cared for. The private pool was an absolute highlight: every morning it was carefully cleaned by Marilena herself. What we also really appreciated was that she came to clean the house in the interim, of course in consultation. Really top service! You can tell from everything that Marilena does this with love and has an eye for her guests. In short: a fantastic place to stay with a hostess who really makes a difference. We will definitely come back here!

Great accommodation with everything you need for a peaceful, isolated stay - yet in walking distance to the beautiful downtown. The house is surrounded by nature, with views to the mountain and a nice garden very well prepared to spend your evenings. The hosts are very welcoming, we felt like at home and are grateful for everything they provided for us. Very recommended, we hope to come back!

We spent the most lovely time at Nikos place with our baby and friends. The villa is located directly by the sea with a spectacular view. We enjoyed really enjoyed our breakfasts watching the waves and listening to the ocean so much. The place is very quiet and private. Nikos is the most welcoming host and gave us great directions for the island. We can definitely recommend staying there! Thank you so much for having us.

Stella was the perfect host. She was so kind and thought of everything you might need. Make sure to follow her recommendations for restaurants as they were amazing. We had an amazing stay at Villa Manos 1 in the end of april 2025. We only found out a couple of days before going, that the pool season at the house normally starts in May (this was our own fault). The owner Manos was very kind to start the pool early for us. When we arrived he was there to greet us at the house, and incredibly kind and helpful. A couple of days after our arrival, new madresses for the beds arrived, and these were very good. Manos was very helpful with advice for the area, and on easter his mother Katerina had bought easter eggs for our children. Manos is a very kind person, and when turned out our 4 year old son had the chicken pox, he made us feel safe both with regards to maybe staying in the house, and getting medical help. All in all we felt very much at home and in very good hands, and we enjoyed the stay so much that we would consider going back.

The apartment was great. Everything was clean and as described. Stelio was a great host and everything went smoothly. There are supermarkets, mini markets and a bus station in walking distance. All in all, Everything was prefect

The apartment is really beautiful and well-equipped, also for cooking. The balcony has great views, especially for sunsets. Parking is simple, the pool is very nice. The only flaw is the shower, it lacks a wall or a curtain to prevent everything around it from getting wet. The staff are very responsive if there are any problems. I highly recommend it!

Other than a little blip when trying to find as we arrived in the dark. Vardis was quick to respond and came to find us. The villa is set amongst olive groves peace and quiet other than the few airplanes which is to be expected with vicinity to airport. Beautifully appointed villa with everything you need for a relaxing and away from it all stay. You could easily walk to Chorafakia with 2 supermarkets a pharmacy and 2 restaurants fab little beach at Tersanas and Kallthas also short drive to Agia Triada monastery. 15 min by car to Chania. Great base to explore and too relax and just do nothing
