Vacation rentals with a kayak in Alentejo

we had a great rest from the long move. the view from the kitchen window to the green hills and meadows is simply charming, it is especially pleasant to open the window and admire the opening landscapes over morning coffee.

Excellent location with extraordinary view of the dam and private condominium access to the water. Very nice, modern and well-equipped apartment. Matches the description. I hope to have the opportunity to return soon!

Great location near the lagoon, this quaint Portuguese home with a beautiful private yard/pool is perfect for a family vacation or just a romantic getaway. Carlos was responsive through the whole process and made us feel right at home. We will definitely return.

We loved the stay. It is possible to have peace and fun at the same time through contact with nature, whether through the beautiful landscape or even the dam. André is extremely attentive and Montezinho has everything a guest needs to enjoy their stay. All the items in the house are extremely tasteful, which allowed us to feel at home.

First thing that comes to find was it’s bigger and way better in person! As we walked in we were suprised by the size and the space. The 3 bedrooms are large. The garden was wide and looks like the photos. The back patio offered another outside area to sit in. The separate lounge and kitchen offered different spaces too. As well as 2 bathrooms which made the space a lot more easier for 6 of us to live in.

The Quinta Dos Cochichos is a wonderful little spot on earth, lovingly maintained and in an absolutely quiet environment, yet you can quickly get to Olhão or one of the beautiful beaches of the Ria Formosa. The owners Paula and Marc are there when needed, and otherwise wonderfully unobtrusive, friendly and lovable. There is what is described, no beautified descriptions or photos - honest and authentic. We had a very nice time and would highly recommend staying there.

I had a restful stay at Aida and Barry’s place. I didn’t have a car and nearest train station is 3km away. Was able to get Uber to visit nearby towns when needed easily. I enjoyed having the very friendly dogs who wanted to walk with me, getting freshly laid eggs at the farm and the best oranges when juiced have the balance of tart and sweet. Aida and Barry were both very friendly and helpful hosts. Thank you!

A pleasent 15 minute drive out of Elvas brings you to the ridge line on which the few dozen houses of the village of Juromenha resides, adjacent to the imposing Fortress Juromenha. You drop down off the ridge towards the river Guadiana to arrive at Casa de Juromenha and its tranquil rural setting nestled between an olive grove and the the fortress. Behind the hedge lies a beautful traditional style building with a country garden, manicured lawn and an aquamarine pool facing the river. The room was beautiful, traditional and the decor has been done with passion and talent. We wanted for nothing and loved our time here, we thoroughly enjoy walking around the Fortress and a meal the local bar Pata Larga. For a country get away it has been outstanding for us. Alandroal, Villa Vicosa and the Marble area are all interesting visits from this idyllic base.

If you prefer the rural location, Sandra's apartment is perfect, because in a few minutes you are on the main street. The steep gravel path was unusual for us at first. The apartment is nicely furnished, the kitchen very well equipped, the terrace beautiful, Sandra and her family are very friendly. We are happy to recommend the place!

Spectacular space in the countryside, with swimming pool, lawn, trees, only the birds are heard. The very clean, functional, well decorated house, was a wonderful holiday!

Hard not to fall in love with this place. Everything one could dream of. It’s a very relaxed environment with two very cool humans, whom which have built a little town of their own if you don’t say! We were lucky enough to have a little tour of the place, hear about how it all started. Went horseback riding with Chris which was incredo. Swam in the pond, sat in the sauna but mostly just enjoyed the view. And hung out with the doggos. Thank you. Will definitely come again when I return to Portugal.

We loved the spacious house and garden: plenty of different places to find shade or a breeze other than the roof terrace (plenty of good outdoor chairs etc). The air-con in the bedrooms is very quiet. The footpath through the nature reserve is a 5 min walk away down the quiet road (a variety of wildlife still in mid-summer). Here is also the one restaurant available by walking. Swimming places would need a bike or car. We followed the driving instructions on Google Street View before arriving: it really helped in recognising the turnings.

We greatly enjoyed our stay on the Quinta. Very quite, green area. We were allowed to use the owner's herb garden to pick fresh herbs. The pool was also pleasant to stay. Friendly welcome from the owner. The swing and slide were used by our daughter with pleasure. Very child-friendly. Highly recommend.
