The original features of the construction in mud, stone and wood were kept, favoring the use of natural materials and local handmade techniques while adding all the necessary amenities to provide a perfect stay. 3 houses, totally independent of each other. Casinha do Burro (40m2) has 1 bedroom with double bed, the living/dining room with a kitchenette and a wood burning stove, 1 WC and a beautiful patio. The terrace overlooks the countryside, the sea and the sky! We are quiet and value both our privacy and the privacy of our guests. We are a family of 4, 2 humans and 2 dogs.

In 2015 the house was completely renovated with an extension built using straw bales that keeps the house cool in the summer an warm in the winter. Beautiful self-built ecological house by the river

This amazing home-made house is newly renovated and located on our small farm where we grow vegetables and fruit trees. The house is made out of rammed earth and stones, placed just a few meters from the gorgeous river of Seixe, surrounded by green hills and fields. The valley is very calm and full of animals such as cows, horses, goats, donkeys, pigs & sheep. In the hot days you can take a cooling dip in the river or visit the amazing beach only 6 km away!

The house is located in the village of São Francisco da Serra, with its small church, windmills and cork extraction workers. Nestled on the top of its hill, the house allows quick access to the lagoon of Santo André and the ocean (10km), the villages of Melides (15km), Grândola and Comporta. A car will be required.
