Vacation rentals with lake access in Alaska

The Wasilla Lakehouse property is beautiful inside and out! Very comfortable for our family of 9. The kayaks and paddleboards were a big hit. We spent a lot of time on the deck playing cards and visiting. There was an eagle flying around one morning and a moose walked across the lawn a couple days later. We also enjoyed watching the float planes take off and land. The beds and linens were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. We wish we could pick the house up and take it back to Maine with us...it's so beautiful!

We arrived to a house exactly as described. Great location right near the lake and close to the airport. Mostly quiet with the occasional buzz of seaplanes taking off. The house was beautiful, the beds were comfortable and Johanna was very responsive. I would love to stay here again and highly recommend it if you're looking for something in the Anchorage area.

An unforgettable stay! GrouseTree House was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. The rope bridge was a unique and fun touch, and the hot tub under the Alaskan sky was exactly what we needed. The property was clean, well-equipped, and thoughtfully designed. Communication was smooth, and the hosts made us feel truly welcome. We’d love to return and highly recommend Alaska Adventure Properties to anyone visiting the area!

This is our 2nd time staying at this property. The home is extremely comfortable with all amenities necessary for a great stay (washer and dryer, full kitchen with all necessary tools for cooking/baking/etc, and very comfortable beds). The hosts were great a communicating as there was some construction going on the property during our stay (it did not affect us in the least). I highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood!

Absolutely beautiful place. The views over the lake are stunning. We rented Shuree’s place as a bridal and then honeymoon suite for our wedding. My now wife’s bridesmaids all stayed there and were obsessed with it. They all had a wonderful night, enjoying the hot tub and watching the beautiful sun set from the deck. They had plenty of room to all get ready with the hairdressers and photographers. We will absolutely be back when we need extra space for family gatherings and get togethers. Or maybe just for a staycation!! John and Em

I cannot say enough good things about this hangar home and the hosts!! 10 minutes from the airport, convenient access to everything we wanted to do, and absolutely beautiful inside and out. The beds were amazingly comfortable, and the curtains let us sleep well in the light. There are the planes that take off and land outside, but it was never a bother or very early or late. Most of all, Ruth and Johanna were incredibly responsive, and went above and beyond to help us out during our stay. (And their binder of local recommendations was fantastic…we tried out several and loved them all!). I hope to come back and stay longer.

The place was in a beautiful location and everything you need is about a 10min drive away from the place. The host was very quick to responding. The bedding was comfortable and the place providing everything that you needed. Extra bedding, bathroom and kitchen utensils. 10/10 would recommend to others!

We enjoyed staying at Jacob’s. It was really cool walking onto the back porch and watching two young moose and their mom having an early morning walk.

I had a wonderful stay at this cozy little apartment in Alaska! The space was spotless, warm, and well-equipped with everything I needed.The views were absolutely stunning—waking up to snow-capped mountains was a dream. The host was responsive, kind, and made check-in a breeze. I’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic getaway with all the comforts of home.

An incredible find! It is the perfect location as it’s close to downtown and lots of different restaurants. The view from the balcony is superb as you can see the Chena River and the city! Loved it here and would definitely boom again!

Our family had a wonderful stay. The home was perfect. We have 2 toddlers and the crib and portable high chair made travel so much easier. The basket of snacks and coffee was also an extra special touch. The location was perfect and so close to everything, although we still loved having a rental car to head out to lots of hiking options. Candace had amazing communication.

Jan’s place was clean, comfortable, well appointed and in a most scenic location. The views are awesome and the host was most affable and responsive. My husband and I felt safe and comfortable, notwithstanding the wooded location which is what we needed for our staycation. Our service dog seemed at peace and didn’t alert for any strange scents or noises (sometimes common if he senses bears in the area). It was wonderful to meet Jan and her husband and their pets. We would very much visit again if the opportunity arises. Thanks Jan for your lovely hospitality.

My daughter and her boyfriend both work from home. The cabin had great wifi and was a comfortable place for them to work, but still be close to our house when they visit. They will be back in October.

The house was well taken care of and very nice to stay in. Every sunrise and sunset was picturesque. The lake was beautiful and refreshing. Loved the opportunity to step away from life at home and relax.

This is the nicest and cleanest Airbnb we have ever stayed at. It is better than described in every way. The view is beautiful and so are the surroundings. It is a very quiet and peaceful venue. Gina was always very fast to respond if needed. This place will exceed your expectations!

We had a great stay in this little cottage. It was exactly as represented, and Megan was very responsive to all our needs. The space was exceptionally clean and the perfect size for our needs. Just bummed we couldn’t stay longer but we will be back! Great space and location.

We can't recommend this place highly enough! It was perfect for us, located in a quiet and beautiful setting that was an escape from busy Homer. Wally and Carol are great hosts and interesting long-term Alaskans. They made us feel completely welcome and at home, which we really appreciated. The main cottage had everything we needed (full kitchen, laundry) and the description was very accurate. We watched baby moose and day-old ducklings in the pond out the front window, and enjoyed the bug hose down by the water. We used their place as a base for adventures in town, across the bay, and north on the peninsula. We do hope that we can return again, thank you so much!

I hesitate to let out the secret that is Eric's place. A 15 minute drive from downtown Talkeetna, it is an oasis on a beautiful lake. Everything was as described, and the beds were extremely comfy, the kitchen was well-stocked, and Eric promptly responded to any questions we had. We think it's a great value for the money and only wished the weather cooperated a bit more for us to use his lake toys. Eric also was quite flexible with our check-in and checkout times, which we greatly appreciated. I wholeheartedly recommend Eric's place!

Lori was very generous and kind. Extremely safe neighborhood. She always put my needs above her own. She always had a positive attitude and knew a lot about her town. It was always a pleasure to see and spend time with her. Her dogs were friendly and well controlled.Her house felt like home and her hospitality made it a joy to share. It always felt like I was spending time at a friend’s place. Finally,she always went above and beyond in her duties as host. Finally,if you enjoy walking,there are trails nearby.
