The Mowhay (work from home with WiFi)

PhoebeRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My partner and I had a great stay here for a long weekend. The place was so peaceful and quiet but close to amenities. The bed in particular was so comfortable, something I find hard to find at Airbnb’s! Claire and her husband were such lovely hosts and even gave us some free home grown eggs for breakfast. Plus lots of local recommendations. The local is good for seeing both the north and south coast. Easy to get the train too if you don’t fancy driving. 100% would come back and recommend the others too!

Unique, light and beautifully cosy cottage

MattRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Lovely cottage in a stunning location. Excellent hosting, nice welcome treat (thanks!). The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay, we catered in and didn't eat out at all. The lounge is comfortable but sadly the weather was far too warm to justify lighting the log burner! Wifi was great, we streamed a film one evening without issue. The location is incredible, loads of walks directly from the door, including up to castle ruins just at the top of the hill. To be able to stomp up the hill to the prehistoric stones and watch the sun set over the sea, then stroll back down at dusk to sit in the hot tub and watch the stars come out, was truly magical.

St Agnes coastal cottage, hot tub by beach & pubs

CharlotteRating, 5 stars2 days ago
This place was such a great find! We’ve just got back from the most perfect week away. We originally only booked for 4 nights but we extended our stay as we were having such a wonderful time. The place is just lovely with everything you need for a relaxing stay. We loved our welcoming gifts too. Kate and Simon are brilliant hosts and were extremely easy to contact. St Agnes is a beautiful location with some superb coastal walks. There’s also plenty of places to go out for food and drink. The beach is stunning also. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone who is considering it (just book it!). Thanks again for a brilliant stay Kate and Simon!

Mellinzeath cornish thatched cottage.

LesleyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We stayed at Mellinzeath 28 years ago for a week of our honeymoon, and decided to revisit for our anniversary. What a transformation! The property has been restored beautifully and sympathetically, and now feels loved again. Everything - the materials used for the fabric of the building, fixtures, fittings and equipment - is of excellent quality, and there are many little touches which make it extra welcoming. Even Obi, our dog, had his own welcome pack and a warm shower outside. This is a very special property in a tranquil, secluded setting, with nothing but the birds for company. Wish it had been like this for our honeymoon.....

Wisteria Cottage

DarrenRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Lovely cottage crammed with period features and charm. Fabulous host, really attentive and communicated pro actively. The location made it, you step out of the garden onto the Chappel Valley path which follows the steam, that flows through your garden, down to Chappel Porth Cove which is amazing. If the Cove looks like nothing special then it's high tide, when the tide goes out its miles of golden sand and hidden caves, stunning. Lovely coastal walk to StAgnes which is a lovely place to explore, so many lovely places to eat. The dressed crab at the Tap House is amazing. Arrival was lovely, Laura had left us a locally sourced cream tea, local teas and coffees, fresh flowers, even shampoos for our dog, so thoughtful. We absolutely loved our stay thank you

Stonechat - barn conversion close to the coast

AdamRating, 5 stars11 months ago
Stonechat had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well equipped and the living area very spacious. Minor things to note: There is no freezer or smart TV as advertised, and we felt the bedroom and shower room would benefit from a refresh. The on site EV chargers are a definite bonus, and the courtyard and garden are very well kept. The owners Rob & Liz are lovely, very knowledgeable and are keen cyclists. The location was great for access to the coastal path and “feature” tin mining areas. Well within walking distance of Land’s End and Sennen Cove. The views are astonishing. There’s a great local pub - the Queen’s Arms in the next village (Botallack). Most regional tourist attractions and beaches are within a short drive. We really enjoyed our week in south-western Cornwall, and we’ll certainly return in the future.

Stunning Sea Views. St Ives Holiday House

Tony & JanninaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We stayed at Blackbird Studio for five nights and really enjoyed it as our base to explore Cornwall. While the weather wasn’t the best, the house made our stay memorable. The views are really stunning and you have your own little English garden. St Ives and various dog friendly beaches can be reached within a couple of minutes. The house was even more spacious than expected and equipped with everything you need. Lorna made sure we arrived safely and was always on hand. As mentioned in the description, the driveway is very (very!) narrow, but we managed to get through for unpacking/packing and parked in the little carveout by the road on the other days, which was completely fine.

Much loved cottage with a family history

KatrinRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We simply loved the cozy cottage up the hill with the wonderful view. We stayed for 5 nights and would have stayed longer if possible. The sea shore is only a short walk (~10 mins) away. From there, the beautiful coastal path takes you either south to the beaches and Land's End or north to Cape Cornwall and St. Just. The cottage is perfectly located for both fantastic hikes and serene time at home. Just one thing, I wouldn't advise to come by large vehicle. We had no other choice than going up with our van, and got numerous scratches because of the narrow road and the wild vegetation on basically every side of it (right, left, above). I'd always come back to this wonderful place, but in a small car. :)

A lovely, quirky place in a great location - I don’t think you could get a better location in Mousehole. The relationship with the Children’s book’The Mousehole Cat’ gives it an exceptional history. The house was cosy, comfortable and well appointed with high quality bathroom toiletries. We enjoyed our stay here and would certainly stay again and recommend it to others.

Homely Cottage w/ Sun Terrace, Short Walk to Beach

OliverRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My wife & I along with our 3 month old baby spent a week at William's cottage. William is an attentive host, providing clear instructions and assisting with any questions we had in a punctual manner. We primarily used the cottage as a base to explore the area each day and it was a perfect place to come home to. The cottage has been renovated to a high standard with modern fittings. We noted how quiet and cozy the cottage is in the evenings. Porthleven is a small town and the cottage is a 5 minute walk from the harbour. Kota Kai is definitely a recommended restaurant as family friendly and excellent food.

Cosy Smithy in the countryside

SarahRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Kassie and Steve definitely spoiled us! We have never experienced anything like this. When we got there, there were warmed up towels waiting for us. A freshly baked lemon cake and fresh bread. Fresh flowers, refrigerator had fresh orange juice, eggs (the chicken are just walking around in front of the cottage living their best lives), homemade jam and milk. Kassie did not only provide a great place to sleep but she puts so much heart and soul into this, that you feel like home right away. Thank you so much for having us, it was a pleasure to meet you. We can recommend the Smithy 100% and hope to be back.

Julia’s Place was such a wonderful place to stay. David met us and showed us the ropes. We loved the peaceful location, the stunning walks and the accessibility to other parts of the coast. I particularly loved the cows in the paddock next door, the garden area and the separate reading room - great for a moment alone. Thank you for having us to stay Julia and David. Romantic Bolthole for Two. Charming Bijou Cottage.

JoRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a lovely 4 night stay in the cottage . It is well positioned and slightly away from the main bustle and noise in Mousehole . Although you can not park directly in front of the cottage you can bag drop . The cottage was spotless and very well equipped. The rooms are spread on 3 floors so be mindfull of steep stairs but that is explained . A very good place to stay and would highly recommend this place .
