Garden Cottage is a lovely converted barn attached to Catlands Foot Farm tucked away on the hillside with views across to the Galloway Hills, Scotland. Just outside the Lake District National Park but within a 30 minute drive of Keswick you get the best of both worlds of exploring the attractions of the Northen Lake District and the Solway Coast with its quaint seaside towns. With plenty of short walks available from the cottage there is a no better place to relax and unwind. Pet friendly.

Recently renovated Annex, is well insulated, cosy peaceful. Upstairs, under the eve’s, original beams are exposed, take care as ceilings do come down low. There is a shower over the bath & separate wc. High quality Anti allergy bedding is used. Downstairs is a kitchenette with microwave, oven, two ring hob & undercounted fridge with freezer compartment. There is under floor heating or multi-fuel fire (please bring own wood/smokeless fuel). There is a tv and super fast fibre WiFi access.

The Shed has been custom built, in the paddock, near my small barn conversion. It has a homely atmosphere, with vintage furnishings and up-cycled items. Where possible I’ve tried to be eco friendly. This is a quiet, tranquil place with beautiful views of the Scottish hills beyond the Solway Firth. It’s part of a small hamlet and my former family farm. Animals are often kept in the fields next to The Shed. You’ll experience stunning sunsets and starry skies.

It is a great base to sample the many delights Cumbria has to offer.

Spittal Farm holiday cottage

Spittal is the former farm house, it sits at the front of a farm yard development. The house it’s self dates back to 1702. There are 2 private gardens one enclosed for your furry friends and 3 large communal areas. There is also parking for 2 cars and a visitor parking bay. Spittal sits just outside the market town of Wigton which is about a 15 min walk.
