Cabin vacation rentals in Whitewater

This was the second time we stayed at the Alchemist Retreat! It was even better than the first time. This is the best Airbnb we have ever stayed at and we will continue to return every year. Jennifer is an amazing host and truly thinks of everything. She will ensure your stay is very smooth and comfortable. This Airbnb holds a special place in our hearts.

Beautiful home with convenient access to JTNP. Furnishings were very comfortable throughout the property, and had most amenities you'd need. Limited bowls & pans in the kitchen for those wanting to cook, otherwise pretty well stocked. Was hoping for better stargazing, but the home is a little too close to "city" lights (Yucca Valley). Although there are a couple neighboring homes, it still felt very private and not too close to anyone. Google maps made it easy to find, but be prepared for a bumpy road (a higher vehicle is probably recommended but not required). Overall it was a great landing pad for 5 nights and would recommend to a single traveler or couple.

This was such a beautiful and peaceful getaway location. Me and my friends took a spontaneous trip to Joshua Tree and luckily this was available for the night. Leafe and Kat were such kind hosts and gave us so many options for spots to visit around the area as well, which helped so much considering we didn't do much planning. I recommend this Airbnb for anyone looking for a cozy, serene getaway from the busy hustle of life

Fantastic getaway in the mountains, next to a babbling brook, with everything you could want. Just a quick trip down to the village but far enough away that it was super quiet. I'd been dreaming of an A frame with giant windows and a patio overlooking the trees and this was exactly it. That, plus the bonus of a cozy place to watch movies and hang out inside. It was my first trip to Idyllwild and I hope to come back again to stay here.

The cabin has all the amenities, but it was such a calming environment, that just sitting together for our anniversary, listening to the sounds of the forest and feeling the pleasant breeze was enough. Of course we used the hot tub under the stars and watched a bit of Stanley Tucci's show about Italy on Hulu during breakfast, but the cabin and it's location are the best thing happening. Going to dinner in town was about 5 minutes in the car, but we liked the cabin so much, we ate and returned to spend more time together, in a place so very different from our home in San Diego. We'll have to stay longer next time. Thanks David!

Our stay was perfect! The place had everything we needed—plenty of towels, comfy beds, and all the essentials. The host was incredibly responsive and quick to answer any questions. Overall, a fantastic place to stay!

This is our 3rd or 4th time here- we just love this Airbnb, truly our favorite! Our doodles have such a big enclosed yard to play- with trees and lots of wildlife all around us. And the prefect view of the Tahquitz rock too! I don’t even look for other Airbnbs anymore in Idyllwild- I just message Ariya and book☺️. The home is always clean with everything we need for cooking and relaxing. I always appreciate the assorted teas from their store as well. This time, we made sure we took advantage of the hot tub after a hike and a run. The bathrobes are always appreciated and even helpful when it got a little chilly at night. Ernie Maxwell trail is just over a mile from the house and my big dog and I hiked/ran there twice- such a beautiful place to take your dog(s). Ariya and Marc are such perfect hosts- always communicating and ensuring we are enjoying our stay. I also appreciated it when Ariya messaged me that I could check in early. Thanks again Ariya! Our family loved staying in the little A Frame! Lots of homey touches & natural decor that was practical and yet beautiful. The town is walkable from the home. Very peaceful location! Host is very responsive. (People with mobility issues would have a hard time with the stairs).

Beautiful and peaceful. View off back side of house is spectacular. The bird seed to feed the birds was a nice treat. The interior was clean, warm and cozy. Would definitely stay here again.

I loved Elizabeth’s place! What a peaceful, beautiful place. Just what I needed as a relief from noisy L.A. So well designed and thoughtful. I especially loved sitting out on the patio, listening to the birds and wind through the trees. Just A+++.

This was hands down the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. In fact, staying here in this beautiful home and amazing location, it has influenced my boyfriend and I to start our journey with owning an Airbnb! I can’t say enough good things about this place! Gorgeous views and surroundings. Kitchen is well stocked with high quality cooking supplies/pots/pans. Using the hot tub with the beautiful view was a dream. Waking up in the middle of the forest with birds singing was lovely. The hosts were wonderful - very responsive and kind.

This was the perfect space for our “reading vacation”. Very peaceful, lots of cozy spots to curl up with a book or sit and chat. We had planned to get out and explore for a bit, but everyone was so comfortable that we opted to cook and stay in the whole time! The space looked just like the pictures and was clean and tidy when we arrived. We especially appreciated that the check-out instructions weren’t over the top, which can be the case with a place as cute this. The To Dwell here team was kind and responsive in all of our communication. Highly recommend!

This was our second stay, and we loved it just as much, as the first time. Great hot tub, beautiful deck, top of the line barbecue, and the fire pit was great to sit around on cool evenings. We loved the fireplace too! This will always be our Big Bear getaway, it has everything to make our vacation wonderful.

Staying here was a unique and memorable experience! The place was exactly as described—peaceful, cozy, and surrounded by nature. You really feel completely secluded, which adds to the charm but can also feel a little spooky at times. But I’ll admit I’m a bit of a scaredy-cat when it comes to the dark, so that probably didn’t help! 😄 The howling of coyotes at night was mentioned in the description and that it just sounds close but is in fact probably miles away, but as Europeans we definitely underestimated how intense that can feel in person. Considering the relatively high cleaning fee, we found it a bit surprising that guests are still expected to take out the trash, do the dishes and put them away before checking out. All in all, we truly enjoyed the stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a special, off-the-grid experience.

Josh and Dons place was exactly as the pictures appeared. It was the cleanest and one of the nicest places I have ever stayed at through Airbnb! You will not be disappointed. I appreciated their house manual as well and the food recommendation for the Joshua hookah lounge did not disappoint! We enjoyed the proximity to Joshua tree national park and the quiet atmosphere around the property. Truly a place to relax and disconnect from all the other distractions of life.

Beautiful stay, well appointed accommodations, comfortable sofa in the main room, lovely wood burning fireplace, and updated features like NEST climate control. Bathtub was fabulous and bathrooms were modern and squeaky clean! Great stay, would recommend.

Aradi’s place was cozy and comfortable. The house was clean and fully stocked, with good space. The beds were very comfy and the towels were lovely and fluffy. We had a little ladies getaway and loved sitting outside on the Adirondack chairs and on the deck with our cheese and wine. Aradi messaged back promptly when I had questions before checkin. It was peaceful and quiet and I would totally stay here again!

This cabin was perfect! It had everything I needed and more. It is a bit of a ways away from the park and other amenities but because of that it is very quiet and serene. I’d definitely stay here again!
