One-of-a-kind cabin, hot-tub, near National Park

NicholasRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My family and I loved our stay at Sherilynn’s cabin! The cabin has everything you could want and then some! It had plenty of space and everyone appreciated not having to share bedrooms or fight over bathrooms. We really enjoyed eating on the screened in porch, playing in the creek (We watched a snake eat a fish one night) and both fire pits. The cabin is a perfect base camp for adventures in Shenandoah National Park too. Sherilynn was very responsive and answered all our questions. We would definitely stay there again!

Log Cabin on Massanutten Resort-Hot Tub & Fire Pit

YasminRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a lovely stay at this cabin in the woods. Standing at the center of the cabin, you end up surrounded by nature as you are able to look through all the windows and the sky light at the beautiful greenery. It was a sweet sanctuary from the city. I appreciated every detail that enhanced my relaxation and comfort at this cabin from the many amenities to the decor. It’s a perfect escape.

Sunset Views! Hot Tub! Fireplace! Mountain Escape

AnneRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is our second property stay from this host group. We have enjoyed both mountain top locations and truly felt like we could disconnect, relax, and have a few small adventures with our pup. Truly Amazing Views!!!! Clean neutral colors and updated amenities. Easy to find things to cook with. **Also- Shout out to The Italian Job Pizza spot. We had crazy rain which delayed our getting to the house from DC, so we shifted from cooking to ordering in and they delivered!!!!!

Cabin Creek Farm (restored 18th century log cabin)

Cynthia & HowardRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We were looking for a cabin, hoping to find a quiet place to rest, relax and recharge in nature. We never dreamed that we would find an authentic 18th century cabin located in the forest on a mountain top - with an excellent view of the surrounding mountains. The inside of the cabin was beautifully furnished as would be expected in colonial Virginia. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the experience of stepping back in time.

Secluded cabin in Elkton

KarenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a great time at Amy's place. The house and grounds were much nicer than shown in the pictures. It was truly a beautiful cabin and property. It had everything on the listing and many things that were not. We loved the adjustable bed in the master and great pans for cooking. Kitchen had everything we needed and more to cook breakfasts and dinners. The pond with the waterfall was very pretty and the food to feed the fish was great fun. It is close to Shenandoah Nat Park and Luray. We appreciated the restaurant recommendations as they were all delicious. We would love to return again when we are in the area.

Riverfront~ Romantic~ firepit~ pets

AmberRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We loved our stay at the cabin! It almost felt like being in a tree house with the floor to ceiling windows. The river was easy to access and very beautiful. We enjoyed the fire pit and cooking on the grill - it was the best way to cook here since there isn’t an oven. Woke up to the sounds of birds and the river water flowing. There were guests in the other cabin but they were very friendly and quiet - we still felt like we had privacy. The gravel road to the cabin is a little bumpy so just be careful if you have a low car. We went hiking in Shenandoah park, explored luray caverns and checked out some breweries. I think most of those things were about 20-30 mins away. It was worth a little extra travel time for the view and privacy!

Very Private Cabin - H'Owl at the Moon Farm

MarkRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Words cannot describe the feeling of pure calm that comes over you when you arrive. This place is truly a treasure hidden in the woods. Once you cross the creek you leave the world and all your cares behind. The host pays attention to all the little details and it shows. We have stayed at quite a few places but this one is on our return list. We look forward to sliding up for a long weekend in the late fall or early winter. (Tip- be sure to spend 15 min reading the welcome package it is time well spent).

Summer Kayaking free Rockfish! 140 Acres, peaceful!

ShanaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We stayed here for a wedding in Charlottesville and, while the cabin was a bit out of the way from where most guests were staying in town, it ended up being the best decision we made. Our group was too large for hotel rooms, and this cabin gave us the perfect place to spread out and relax. We honestly wished we had more time to enjoy the space itself—it's ideal for a peaceful getaway weekend. Unfortunately, wedding events kept us running around, but we could easily see ourselves coming back just to unwind and take it all in. The property offers plenty to do, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. A couple of small suggestions that would’ve helped us (specifically as guests getting ready for a wedding): a full-length mirror in the downstairs bathroom and some brighter lighting in the bathrooms for hair and makeup. That said, these things wouldn’t be an issue for a regular weekend trip. Overall, a charming cabin that we hope to return to when we can truly enjoy it!

Cabin on the River at the Bare Farm

John And LeighRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Our family of three had a wonderful stay at this charming cabin! It was the perfect mix of peaceful and fun—the setting by the river is incredibly relaxing, and our child absolutely loved watching the horses and exploring the open space. The cabin was spacious, very clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a fully stocked kitchen and cozy common areas. We spent our mornings sipping coffee on the porch, took easy day trips into Lexington, and enjoyed quiet evenings by the fireplace. If you’re looking for a family-friendly retreat surrounded by nature and animals, this place is a gem. We’d definitely come back!

Peaceful get-away or home base for adventure for 2

ShonaRating, 5 stars3 days ago
WOW! What a peaceful, tranquil place! Due to it all being one room except the bathroom, it reminds me of a treehouse just adding to its charm. Beautiful lush gardens (providing veg. & Herbs) flowers and woodland surroundings. Nice large (I believe to be an eastern redbud) tree canopy over the back porch filtering out some of the hot sun. Fresh eggs and cream upon arrival, a-swell as a sweet welcome note, flowers and a treat. Not much on the Mountain View’s but I was there during the spring when the plants and trees are full. A bumpy ride up but well worth the trip! Thank you for sharing ur place with us. We really enjoyed our stay.

Lastly, our hosts were very responsive and the place is well priced. We will definitely be back.

The Sanctuary

KelsiRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This cabin is AMAZING! The pictures truly do not do this place justice. Incredible cabin with plenty of room for everyone staying as well as tons of running space for the kids. It was truly nice to be able to “unplug” and have minimal to no communication on our devices. This place is perfect for reconnecting and making lasting memories. We will never forget all of the bonfires with smores and cooking hotdogs as well as the hiking trails/overlooks nearby and Crabtree Falls for sight seeings and being able to take a quick dip in. Also - Sun rises are breathtaking on the wrap around porch while enjoying a warm cup of coffee. Thank you for an incredible stay and we can’t wait to book again real soon!!
