Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Washington County

We had a wonderful & relaxing weekend here with a large group for my sister's lowkey bachelorette party. Even with a day of non-stop pouring rain, we were perfectly content with staying in and enjoying the coziness of the house. We had a blast watching the chickens roam around and hanging out with the overly-friendly barn cats while we sat outside. The goats & pigs were happy to greet us at the fence every time. The hot tub and pool were perfect! Highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a beautifully scenic and peaceful getaway. Thanks, Sarah & BBVF team!

I loved staying here! The host was super attentive and helpful and I was very comfortable, the bedding and mattress were by far the nicest most cozy I’ve ever experienced at an Airbnb! The water pressure and temp in the shower 11/10 also!!! Looking forward to staying here again soon!!!

What a perfect weekend. We were struck by how clean and fresh the house was when we entered, finding it welcoming, comfortable, cozy and well appointed. Charles was an amazing host. He filled the house with welcoming touches like snacks, soft drinks, coffee supplies, as well as bathroom amenities in case we forgot our own. The front deck is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the evening, and I hope to come back when the new back deck is completed. A perfect place to stay, we truly felt like we were in a home away from home.

My family and I had a wonderful time! Larry is very sweet, gave us a tour, offered to help with docking our boat and even offered my husband the tools to fix the bunk on our trailer. The house is big and beautiful!! Very clean, the beds are comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need!! The hot tub is definitely a bonus as we used it everyday!! The dock was perfect, we had room for our pontoon boat and jet skis. All around the perfect place for some R&R!!! My family and I love Cossayuna Lake as we are semi local and it was our first experience with an Airbnb. Thank you Larry for sharing your home!! Highly recommend this for your next vacation!!

We absolutely loved the clementine cottage! It was a perfect peaceful getaway. The house was so clean and absolutely adorable. Excellent hosts!! We will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend!

9 adults and 3 children all met up for a family weekend! We came from NY, NH and Maine! The house was perfect! Plenty of room to gather or separate! Even tho it was a chilly rainy weekend the kids managed to get in plenty of pool time! Tanya was very responsive and Melvin was the greatest! Our first morning he came right over to fix a slow drain. Patrick was welcoming and so helpful. He and his wife have created an oasis. Out the back door is a patio overlooking a River. They have planted beautiful flowers. I sat and watched a hawk the first AM and a chipmunk the second. The apartment is complete and not lacking anything. I’d return in a heartbeat.

Sharon was a most attentive and accommodating host. Very clean and homey. Beautiful property! Would definitely recommend and return.

5 stars at this Airbnb. Away from the hustle, close drives to fun, dining, activities. Very comfortable, great Apple TV. Amazing views of VT right through the kitchen window with an accessible trail across a beautiful bridge. Quiet at all times, plenty of hot water, amazing host. I can’t say enough good things to highly recommend this listing.

The listing was beautiful and quiet. It was perfect for our overnight. The host was responsive and everything was so nice and clean. We highly recommend.

We loved every minute of our stay here. Paul was so friendly and personally greeted us when we arrived. His wife baked homemade chocolate chip cookies, and put out freshly cut garden flowers on the kitchen table. We felt welcomed like family. The space was so cute, bed was comfortable, we had more than enough bath linens, shower was easy to use, and we really loved watching the birds from the kitchen window. The pergola out back was so peaceful. We would love to stay here again in the future. Thank you again Paul and Linda!

We had a fantastic stay at the Yellow Door Inn! The house is full of personality—artistic, cozy, and filled with touches of local creativity. The backyard is peaceful and charming. We loved exploring the area: highlights included Salem Art Works, ice cream from Battenkill Valley Creamery, meats from Locust Grove Farm, and a great stop at Scottlander Brewing Company (even though Google said there was no road!). Driving around Cossayuna Lake was the perfect way to unwind. Even now, back in NYC, we still feel the timeless charm of Washington County. Highly recommend this stay—thank you for the warm hospitality!

Ann was the perfect host. We met her when we checked in and that was all we needed. She made it very clear when we booked the apartment what we needed to know. We had no questions during our stay. The apartment was beautiful and it was centrally located to everything we wanted to do. Lake George, NY was a short ride away. The Jungle Experience Zoo and Wellsmere Farm if you wanted a petting zoo experience. Rathbuns Sugar House had a perfect breakfast and Heidelberg had the best German food we've had in this region. Thundering Brook Falls in Killington was beautiful with very easy access and Lake St. Catherine was just a short drive away. We are already looking forward to our next stay, hopefully soon. Thank you very much Ann, we couldn't be happier.

Christopher's place was amazing. The property is absolutely amazing, and the view from the window is stunning. The place is very cozy, comfortable, and feels very spacious for the size. There are several cute small towns near by and plenty of places to go for a hike. Christopher was a great host who gave recommendations and always responded to questions. We would 100% recommend!
