We three families with young kids had a fantastic stay at this AirBnB over Matariki weekend. This family home is thoughtfully put together and really spacious for a large family gathering. The kids loved the toys and play den, and being able to walk right on to the beach from the property made things so easy and fun. Fiona was always quick and friendly with her comms, offering helpful suggestions and letting us know of local events, like kite flying festival down on the beach. Thanks for the special, memorable weekend.

Jutta was an extremely welcoming and warm person with two adorable dogs. She was very helpful if ever we needed anything. The apartment was cosy and spacious and we would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely perfect for our family while we competed in the Nth Island Streetstock Champs!! Quirky but very cool little spot with great parking for our race trailers! Google maps unfortunately took us down a private driveway which thankfully had a turn bay to be able to exit with our large trailers (apologies to those people as it was 10pm!) FYI take the driveway directly before the speedway track entrance not where Google maps takes you. The communication was a little slow and the property listing a little vague but we got there in the end and it was perfect. From the Castleton Racing Team, Thank You so much Angela for having us and we would love to come back one day!!

What a stunning little escape! Well worth the distance from town. Super comfy little cottage and hosts were so lovely. And Heathers Date scones were fantastic!! (I need that recipe!!) hosts were so responsive and accommodating with extra blankets etc. was such a lovely night away!

Putara Base Camp is a fantastic place to stay with a group of friends to escape the city to the countryside. The accommodation is rustic but comfortable and has everything you need, including a great supply of firewood. The space was tidy, and the bathrooms were clean. Michelle communicated the check-in instructions clearly. The countryside surroundings are absolutely gorgeous. Overall, it was an awesome stay. Definitely recommended!
