Large sliding doors completely open up the front of the building onto the deck, giving you a feeling of always being close to nature. Surrounded by trees, orchard, lawn and garden, the studio is a quiet retreat space. The sound of the sea and bird song are always in the background. It's 50m from our house and well hidden by trees, so you'll feel very private. The best beach in NZ is a 15 minute walk away!

Only 2 hours driving from either Tauranga, Rotorua or Gisborne - a good resting point. Lovely quiet cottage set on lifestyle block with many chickens and sheep. 3 minutes driving to fabulous Waiotahi beach and only 10 minutes into Opotiki for cafes and shopping. Peace and tranquility - leave the city behind.

We were staying at Paul's place for almost a month. Paul and his girlfiend are very helpful and kind hosts. It was the perfect location for a longterm stay, the kitchen is very well equiped and Paul allowed us to use his deck and the barbecue. We really enjoyed the stay.

A comfortable, compact apartment, perfect as a base for a worker. Was welcomed by Paul and given a tour, he and Leigh were friendly and always available to help/ chat / lend their dog for walks on the beach !! Lots of small details have been thought of. I particularly appreciated the well kitted out kitchen. The beach is visible from the kitchen window and accessible by walking down the driveway.

We highly recommend Lou's place, it's airy and light, the bed is super comfortable, it has enough space so you aren't falling over your stuff, and it is just a lovely place to hang out. Lou is a lovely host. We'd definitely choose it again.

Beautiful house in one of Whakatane’s most famous spots! House is exactly as pictured. Comfy beds, well-appointed kitchen with everything you’ll need to cook for yourself. Fully remodeled and modern bathroom and kitchen, while keeping the coziness of the original wood home. Modern, natural furnishings. Enjoyed using the telescope and binoculars to look at boats at sea. It is quite a busy road—people like to drive up, see the park, and turn around. I really enjoyed the calmer nights and mornings. Closing the front windows really helped reduce the traffic noise. Always something to watch in front of the house.

"Aisling was an absolutely wonderful host! Her communication was awesome, even reaching out to let us know about a cold snap during the week of our booking to let us know about electric blankets, the heat pump, and extra heaters. Char was very communicative and easy to deal with. We were in town for a funeral and had exactly the number of beds we needed: three double bedrooms and a twin. The house itself is beautiful—elegantly laid out, functional, and high quality. There's a nice yard where the little one could run around, and a lovely deck to sit on with a glass of wine. All in all, a really nice experience. We'd definitely want to stay here again.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Barbs beautiful home, it had everything we needed, fully equipped kitchen, spacious living and dining, loved the outdoor deck straight off lounge nice spot to eat and relax a wonderful touch was each room was so beautifully presented and the spa pool topped off each day with a relaxing soak. Feeding Mr Wilson was great too the kids enjoyed having a little job each day. Thank you so much. We had a lovely Easter weekend together.
