The apartment was absolutely wonderful, right on the canal with a nice view. Purmerend is a very nice little town with beautiful parks. If you are coming for Amsterdam it is a little inconvenient to get into the city, but still manageable. If you are coming for purmerend I couldn’t imagine a better place for the price. Sandra was very helpful and a great host as well.

Do not hesitate to go there! It is the perfect getaway! Everything is well thought, well decorated, we felt so quickly at home and at peace. There are some houses and neighbours around the house but you might only see them when you arrive and leave. The place is private and quiet. The view is exactly like the picture, we spent evenings looking at the sky, the birds, the rabbits and the cows. A great place 😊

Fantastic apartment, really clean and comfortable in a great neighbourhood: peaceful but walking distance to everything you could need. Loes and Fokke are wonderful hosts, warm and helpful- we had a brilliant few days exploring the city from the perfect base.

Such an accessible spot! Karin was very friendly and gave us great recommendations of neighborhoods to explore! The Airbnb is so peaceful, couldn’t recommend more!

The stay at Marjolein and Michiel's was exceptionally nice and cozy. Quietly located, beautiful ambiance with private pond terrace and garden. Ideal for cycling tours to the World Heritage Site to the mills in Kinderdijk, Rotterdam, as well as to Dordrecht. The water bus is also highly recommended! Since my husband turned 60, Michiel had thoughtfully put a nice bottle of Prosecco in the fridge for us in advance. Breakfast was very tasty and extensive. The beds are very comfortable. Overall, the room could be darkened well for sleeping. The car could be parked very safely in the courtyard. Thank you so much again for the wonderful stay!! Lovely apartment, very spacious and clean, super nice and considerate host, great views of historic Leiden (including the windmill!), close by all the sights in historic Leiden, wonderful outside patio. Would definitely stay there again!

We loved our stay in this character-filled historic house. The apartment is beautiful, spacious and felt private, even though it’s a shared building. The location is excellent and we savored the view of the canal from the big windows. The bed and linens are comfy, crisp and clean, and there were plenty of towels. We even enjoyed hearing a bit of Evert and his students’ violin-playing. (Seriously, I don’t really like violins but the playing was expert and lovely.) Memorable stay!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Gein Lust B&B! Just a few minute's ride from the city, the location is absolutely idyllic and beautiful, very peaceful and serene. The accommodations were also first class, perfect for our needs. The space is comfortable and spacious, and nicely appointed. Bianka was a great hostess, very friendly and excellent communication! I highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay! After a long day of traveling, we greatly appreciated the quiet and beautiful surroundings, especially the extremely comfortable beds! The only issue we encountered was that the previous guests had left the downstairs windows open, resulting in a lot of flies inside the house. Esther's team tried to remove as many flies as possible before our arrival, and they provided us with an electric fly swatter to handle the remaining ones. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Amsterdam or the Abcoude area!

We were traveling by bicycle and used Ben and Inge's accommodation for 3 nights. On the one hand, the proximity of Amsterdam (with a bus stop nearby and the train from Weesp... totally easy!) and the really beautiful small towns of Weesp, Muiden and Naarden. Inge brought us an incredibly great breakfast every morning on request. She is a great, very friendly host. Thank you so much for this great start to the day. We felt very comfortable with Ben and Inge and appreciated their hospitality very much. The small independent apartment is very quiet, very clean and cozy (as in the photos). The perfect pad for two in a really beautiful part of Amsterdam - central and easy to walk to everything but quiet at night and a lovely friendly atmosphere. Mati was great and really easy to get hold of, ask questions etc. I would highly recommend this stay.

Inge is a pleasant person and ready to help (offer to do laundry). Some sweets were waiting for us upon arrival. The accommodation is pleasant and good location. Recommended.

The apartment is great, but the absolute highlight is the terrace on 3 sides of the house, right on the water. The large glass fronts in the living room give a view of the water, which makes the apartment special even in cool temperatures. The only downside is that you don't want to go on a trip, but just want to stay in the apartment.

We had a great stay at Michelle’s. She is a very friendly host and answers questions quickly. The place is exactly as described and shown on the pictures. The surroundings are quiet and beautiful, and the commute to the city is easy.

A cute little house with a panoramic view of the garden in a quiet location in an idyllic place. I found the location perfect…short walk to the bus stop, very good bus connections to Amsterdam and the surrounding area and yet quiet and relaxing after a busy day in Amsterdam. We felt very comfortable...

We stayed in the Klaver Garage for 7 days in June 2025 and we enjoyed it very much. Everything was furnished with a lot of love and we felt very comfortable. This apartment was amazing for our quick trip to Amsterdam. The location is perfect—right on one of the main canals and walkable to everything. Helena was such a gracious host and gave us some great recs for vintage shopping, drinks, and eats. The space was well appointed and she was so flexible with our arrival and departure times. I would 100% recommend this place and would stay here again on a future visit.

The Condominium is in a nice quiet part of Amsterdam, but still easy to get to city centre. Was very clean and comfortable.

We had a wonderful time in this beachfront accommodation. The location is fantastic and the area offers many opportunities for recreation and exploration. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful – their tips for excursions and activities were very valuable. The apartment itself is very luxuriously furnished and equipped with everything you need. We felt completely comfortable and can absolutely recommend this place!

We had a great stay! Hugo was easy to contact, gave us many local recommendations, and easy to follow directions. The place was clean, had a great view, and is on a quiet street. Location was great, very walkable to all of the main tourist attractions. We were worried about not having a tv but didn’t miss it. Just a heads up to people in the U.S.-bring wash cloths to Europe. All 3 of the Airbnb’s that we stayed at did not provide them. I read that they consider it a personal item, like a toothbrush, and expect you to bring your own. Thank you Hugo!

This place was wonderful! It was just as described. We enjoyed listening to the birds (wild parakeets and others) as we sat on the balcony in the mornings. The stairs are steep and narrow but that is just part of being in Amsterdam. One thing to note, there are 2 showers, 2 sinks, but only 1 toilet. It didn’t cause any problem for me, but those staying in the first floor bedroom will have to climb up stairs in the middle of the night. Overall, I highly recommend!

Morningstar is a beautiful place to stay. The apartment is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The location could not be better. It is right across the canal from The Ann Frank house. There are many wonderful cafes and restaurants nearby. The hosts have thought of everything. I would highly recommend to anyone!

I was looking for a place for my friend where we can have a nice time and go fishing. The apartment was even nicer than in the photos and the hostess was so incredibly sweet. We couldn't have done better. An incredibly beautiful environment. Great people and everything can be reached on foot or by bike. We'd love to come back again 😍
