We have solar installed, so we are not affected by load shedding. A tea, coffee station and mini fridge is provided in the guest suite. TV with Netflix. Plenty of cupboard space. Guests do not have to share any spaces within the home with any members of the household as it is a totally independent unit even though it is situated within the main house. The only shared areas are outside in the garden and at the pool.

We have recently installed solar panels and battery-backup to cope with the loadshedding as well as a large water storage tank for water outages Snug cozy contained room has a double bed, kitchenette with two gas plates and bathroom with a shower. It's not the biggest space (23,5 square metres) but has almost everything you need for a stay in one of Johannesburg's beautiful old tree-lined suburbs. The area is safe and close to the train.
