Authentic detached house full of atmosphere and equipped with all the comforts. Wooden floors, a modern kitchen, a private sauna in the bathroom and 2 double bedrooms on the ground floor with excellent beds give atmosphere and luxury. The spacious living with spacious Chesterfield sofa overlooks the Winsumerdiep. Onderdendam is a beautiful village 12 km away from the city of Groningen and has a protected village view. Our 2-pers. Canadian canoe and our 3 bikes are available for rent for a reasonable price.

Since April 2022, we have been offering this characteristic property in Warffum. Take a break and enjoy the still undiscovered vast Groninger Hogeland. The house is located directly next to the medieval church on the largest wierde in the Netherlands. Many beautiful authentic villages in the area , the infinite polders and the bird(spot)rich cellars of the Wadden Sea can be admired within cycling distance. A visit to the city of Groningen and islands Schiermonnikoog and Borkum is also worthwhile!

Cozy room with bathroom.

This nice room is built in a barn has its own shower and toilet. Ten minutes drive to the Wadden Sea. So no beach but dikes with sheep on it. However, a few sprayed fake beaches and the ferry service to Borkum for the real work. Waking up to cackling chickens under your window. Wood-burning stove warmth, with support of electric stove. The price does not include breakfast. Preferably no employees, unless..... Dogs welcome for a small fee.

The accommodation, with its own entrance, has been recently renovated and is completely furnished for a comfortable stay. During the summer, the spaces are wonderfully cool and cozy during the winter. The accommodation is within walking distance ( 5 min.) from the station ( train + bus). The tiny house is highly recommended if you appreciate peace and simplicity. Amenities are just as described. The Tiny House is located in a row with four others, we found the other guests to be very discreet and nice. Check-in is straightforward. In the house there is a basic set of dishes and cutlery, details were missing, but on vacation that's fine... 🙂 The surroundings are very quiet, a quaint café is within walking distance, otherwise you can see a lot of nature, special waders and some sheep. 🙂 Highly recommended is the Nationaal Park Lauwersmeer or a day trip to Groningen.

An absolutely magical place! We were allowed to spend an unforgettable weekend here on the occasion of our wedding and could not have wished for a more beautiful place. Sabrina is incredibly warm and made us feel welcome from the first moment and helped us have a wonderful weekend with her empathetic manner. The vacation home is a real feel-good home — lovingly furnished, very clean and with incredibly comfortable beds in which we slept wonderfully. A special highlight: the deer, which walk quietly over the dunes in the evening and morning. A moment we won't forget anytime soon. We are very grateful to Sabrina for this little break in such a special atmosphere and would be happy to come back!

The three of us stayed in Esther's apartment for a week and felt very comfortable there. The apartment is very tastefully decorated. Everything - dishes, etc., are available in sufficient quantity and quality. There's really nothing missing. For the first day and breakfast the fridge was stocked! We were welcomed with chilled sparkling wine. We especially enjoyed the spacious kitchen-living room, which is the center of the apartment. The apartment is located in the old town of Appingedam, a very nice place and a good starting point for trips to Groningen or Leeuwarden. Highly recommend both. We highly recommend this property and Esther as a landlady.

We have completely relaxed in this wonderful place in the countryside! The view is amazing, you see a different animal shooting past every time. It is a quiet, peaceful place, but you can quickly reach the hustle and bustle by going to the city of Groningen. Also be sure to choose the delicious breakfast with the fresh eggs from the chickens that walk around. In short, highly recommended!
