Casa Giroud in Trinidad Downtown. Room 3

JeffreyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Kudos to Betty and her team at Casa Giroud. We enjoyed a great weekend in Trinidad! Even though there are many good restaurants nearby, we started each day with the 6USD breakfast which was absolutely delicious. The little swimming pool was used by us on a daily basis. Clean and refreshing! Apagones are a problem in all of Cuba, but especially in the provinces. Be aware that there's a generator for the house that turns on in the evening. It doesn't operate the fridge nor the A/C, but it's nice to recharge all your devices and to have a fan on when there's a blackout at night. Communication is superb. Betty speaks English perfectly and was helpful with recommendations and advice about the city. I would definitely re-book the next time I come to Trinidad.

Casa Hostal Barbara y Alejandro (Room 2)

YukoRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
I had really great time at Barbara y Alejandro’s place. I am grateful for the kindness with which I was treated like family. It was my first time in Cuba and my first time in Trinidad and I had the best memories. I asked them many questions before going to Cuba, and they answered them politely every time. Above all, I felt very reassured by their quick response. Next time, I want to be able to speak Spanish so I can enjoy the conversation even more with them. Muchas Gracias!!

Hostal Alameda. Charming House in Downtown! 2 Room

BeatriceRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We did not meet Fabio who lives abroad but the person who works for him on site is very welcoming. She keeps the house "running", she is very responsive. The place is very peaceful. We took the 2 bedrooms (my husband is tall, it was better to have 2 beds because they are 140 cm), which "privatizes" the floor, the price was correct for the 2 bedrooms. Exceptional heat. There were numerous power outages, and the air conditioning was replaced by fans that ran on the generator provided by the person in place. Noisy, however, we were happy to "get back" the air conditioning during power outages. But it's the case everywhere. Very good breakfast in the garden, excellent exchanges with the lady who is on site. Trinidad and its surroundings are very nice. The Romantica Museum is very interesting. Taxis take you to the mountain parks, avoiding the tour operators.

Colonial House 1830

NikeelRating, 5 stars4 months ago
This place was right opposite the Viazul bus station and ideal for walking to all the local hotspots of Trinidad. Yosvaldo and family were all very friendly and answered questions when I needed. Room was cleaned daily and WiFi worked well but needed resetting each time the electricity went off in the city and the generators kicked in… no biggy! Enjoy!
