“Incredible views! Just what I envisioned for my cake day celebration! Slept on the patio and I was lucky enough to have no issues of mosquitoes or anything (but bring bug spray just in case:) The bed in the master bedroom was incredibly comfortable as well. Overall very great ambience for some zen time and definitely was an awesome place for the price! I enjoyed my stay immensely and I just wished it was longer!”

“The condo is as advertised. Very clean and a great location. We had some minor issues that John took care of immediately. While the description was accurate, I did want to share some additional tips for future guests. We had two young children and it wasn’t convenient for us to be running out often for meals or supplies. For a $10 delivery fee, we had a Walmart delivery to the condo which made things much easier for us. I wish I had done it ahead of time to be delivered right after we arrived, as we didn’t have coffee, drinks or anything and arriving in the evening, it didn’t work for us to walk to the 7-11 a couple of blocks away. If you can, plan ahead so stuff arrives shortly after you do. Secondly, we used Uber Eats for a dinner delivery and that worked well too. Due to the security in the building, you do have to meet them in the lobby. So that we didn’t have to worry about parking to visit the Hollywood boardwalk, we used Uber, which was an affordable $6 ride and much easier than having to drive ourselves. The condo itself was nice, could use a good paint job. Beds were comfy. Shower water seemed to be capped and wasn’t as hot as we like, but was still fine. Had issues with the Keurig but bought some vinegar to descale it and it seems as good as new now. Remote was slow but found some batteries in the cabinet that seemed to fix it. The floor was VERY quiet and we didn’t see any other guests on the floor. Condo itself was good for the money. The Tides building is very interesting. The way everything worked - checking in in Receiving and having to use the Service elevator with luggage was all very weird. This was described by John so I wasn’t surprised but it still all seemed kind of shady and felt like we were not supposed to be renting there. Elevator rules were no more than 5 ppl at a time which was also odd. I didn’t realize the office closed at 5 on weekends, so I lost my $20 parking deposit. Having to use the fob to get anywhere was annoying but also made the condo feel safe. While the building staff wasn’t over-the-top friendly, I found them to be pleasant enough. The pool was a nice temp, but they don’t allow any kind of flotation or toys. Beach was great. Overall, our experience was good. The condo was as advertised and if you’re ok jumping through some extra hoops it’s good for the price. But if you want more convenience and a place that feels less shady, opt for a hotel. John was a great host and the condo was nice.”
