The most beautiful place, exceeding all expectations. The views are spectacular. We breathed in peace and tranquility. A fabulous place to celebrate my 80th birthday with the whole family -- 16 of us. Everyone was comfortable in the space. In addition to being the perfect host, Samantha provided surprise extras which was such fun! Just a few of the highlights: S'mores at the firepit, lobster dinners, seals, bald eagles and fireworks. She made our stay truly memorable. My family gives the place the highest recommendation.

This house has a beautiful view of the lake!! The complementary water activity’s are worth booking!! We enjoyed our stay and will come back!! Make sure to walk out on the dock at night and look at the stars!!

Our stay at the Great Pond Airbnb was incredible! The house was beautiful, cozy, and fully stocked with all the amenities we needed. We especially loved the paddle boat—it was magical to take it out on the lake early in the morning and watch the sunrise. Truly a dream! Finding the place initially was a bit tricky (we missed some details in the instructions), and cell service in the area is spotty, so definitely screenshot directions beforehand. Once settled, though, it was perfect. Being just over an hour from Acadia National Park was a huge bonus! We had a blast hiking, especially on Precipice Trail (challenging but amazing!) and Beehive Trail for a slightly easier, but still fun option. This spot offered the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway!

We stayed here our last night while visiting Acadia. Super cute little cabin! We loved that they had a common space in the main house that was full of supplies and very welcoming. Would stay here again!

It’s a lovely cabin, the hot tub is a plus. It’s also fairly private since it’s last cabin of the property.

We had a great two nights here and enjoyed the hot soak and the sauna. It was near many amenities and also felt very removed. Matt’s was attentive without being intrusive, making sure our stay was perfect and the escape we hoped it would be.

Adorable cottage, newly renovated. Perfect for two with an open space loft for one more. Kitchen is well stocked right down to the coffee. A good location if visiting Fort Knox, Mt. Barrie and not too far from Bar Harbor if that is on your list. Great stay, highly recommend. Beautiful view and private.

Absolutely loved our stay here! If you're someone who enjoys being close to nature and traveling with your dog, this place is perfect. The surroundings are peaceful and green. Fabiola was super friendly and made everything easy from check-in to check-out. The house rules were clear and straightforward, which made the whole experience stress-free. We felt really welcomed and comfortable the entire time. All in all, a great stay—we’d definitely come back!

Anna was incredibly communicative and her place was clean, quiet, and exactly what we were looking for. We especially loved her two little greeter cats!

Cute little cabin in the woods!! Super clean, check in was very easy. Nichole was very easy to communicate with. The cabin was perfect for a quick weekend. We would definitely stay again!

We had a great stay at Rich and Julie's Beals cottage. The space looks exactly like the photos and had everything we needed. The design and decor were impressive and unique. The boat was a fun addition. One evening we enjoyed our Jonesport pizza and beer on the deck while watching the harbor. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare breakfast each morning. We enjoyed a good night's sleep in the comfortable bed and the shower was powerful and refreshing. Although it may seem there is not a lot to do in the area, Rich, the host, will prove that wrong. He has meticulously prepared 4 binders worth of itineraries and highlights of the area. We enjoyed the "Dock Walk" around Beals prepared by Rich. Seaduck Point was a great trail with the dogs. Rich was super supportive when a rainy day canceled our puffin cruise. Rich was ready with suggestions of things to do and extremely supportive. Don't miss The Milkhouse Cafe in Machias. Great coffee and pastries. Highly recommend the cottage.

We had an amazing stay at Jason’s place despite a (mostly) rainy Memorial Day weekend! We still found plenty to do including inside the Airbnb, outside at the pond, and locally at all of the great restaurants/breweries/nature around. We also made it out to Acadia two of our days. I will say, the trip took longer than advertised (about an hour to get to the edge of the park), but was a pleasant enough ride. We also had our two dogs staying with us and we all felt right at home! Jason was a very responsive and helpful host as well - you can’t go wrong with this peaceful retreat on the pond!

Beautiful quite location with rustic craftsmanship like no other. Close to Acadia and Gulf of Maine, scenic farm and whimsy charm. Amazing place!

Jane and her cottage were spectacular. We were looking for a place to unwind and decompress, and this was all that plus the bonuses of a luxuriously appointed, thoughtfully decorated and absolutely spotless home, with an unparalleled view of the ocean in its ever-changing moods, shimmering sunsets and moonrises, cavorting seagulls and flocks of geese, and a soundtrack of waves, songbirds and gull calls. We felt welcomed like houseguests at a good friend's home who had just stepped out for a little bit. We forgot to look for the fabled map drawer (mentioned by another reviewer) but were intrigued by the many books on the shelves by Maine authors, and short stories that we read aloud to each other. One of us walked the 4.5 mile loop trail, rugged but well worth the effort, if one is up to it, for the wild coast and ancient forests. We both sat on the chairs at ocean's edge to drink it all in. This was the very best B&B we've ever stayed at. Kudos to Jane for making her home available!

Mary’s place was perfect for our Acadia vacation. It was clean and spacious for our family of 3. The view was beautiful and very peaceful. Definitely recommend!!

My husband and I stayed in the Popplestone Point cabin for 3 nights and loved it. The cabin was very clean and well appointed. The beds were comfy and we enjoyed the screened porch very much. The location is excellent; short drive to everything beautiful MDI offers.

This was my second time at Mark's place and I can't wait to go back. The cabin is just perfect and I love everything about the island and the lovely community there. Islesford is the perfect getaway to recharge and reset.

We arrived at Libby's place to find that it was just what we expected. The home was very clean and well stocked with the necessary items to be comfortable and settle in. The kitchen, bathroom, linens, etc were very clean and well stocked. The deer in the back yard for a visit was a treat. The location is close to many activities and a short drive to downtown Bar Harbor. This is a great location to rest, relax, recharge the batteries and enjoy outdoor adventures. Thank you Libby. We will see you soon for another visit.

This was our favorite spot we’ve been to in a long time. Beautiful property, comfortable accommodations that still feel rustic while having everything you need. Awesome spot!

I appreciated the well-equipped kitchen. It felt like home! I brought my food for my three day stay because I didn't want to worry about finding a restaurant/diner every day. The kitchen had everything I needed, including sharp knives, cutting boards, and oh yeah, the cutest Le Creuset tea kettle. I enjoyed returning to Fern Hollow after hiking all day and being able to prepare my meal. Eating and relaxing by the firepit was exceptional - with s'mores for dessert!

I absolutely loved my stay. It's in a great location on the quietside of Acadia and there are some great trails right down the road. I much preferred that area to the more crowded Bar Harbor area, but it's only a short drive away if you like that scene. The cottage was exactly as pictured, so adorable and cozy.
