Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Tórshavn

The house is comfortable and has all the comforts. Upon arrival, it was pleasantly warm. All rooms are nicely decorated. You stay at the end of a road, so there is no traffic passing by... wonderfully quiet with only the sound of birds and sheep. We really felt at home. The house is very nice, clean and comfortable. Fully equipped and convenient. We stay here just like at home，and if I ever come back to Faro，I would still choose Rúna.

The little house is tastefully and personally decorated. It is centrally located to the ferry and the bus that runs to the airport. It is located in the old quarter of Thorshavn, which has a special, authentic flair.

A great little base to explore Tórshavn. The apt is just off one of the main streets by the harbor and you can walk to all the restaurants and tour pick-up points. Place was cozy and cute for a couple or small family.

The place was just as described, we felt right at home. We had everything we needed and more, from kitchen utensils to an outstanding record collection. There’s shops only a short distance away and easy access to other towns as well. The house was very suitable for a family with children with many games and toys around. The view speaks for itself. A true place to just relax and wind down. The most outstanding feature though was Eyðfríð herself. Sadly we didn’t meet her but her communication and helpfulness is unparalleled in our experience. She helped us out in a pinch when we had some travel issues and gave us many recommendations on the way.

Torben is a terrific host, making sure we were set up and letting us know to get groceries in advance because the peaceful island of Nolsoy is sparsely populated and things close early. He checked to be sure we were ok without being intrusive. Directions were spot on and check out couldn’t be easier. His liberal checkout schedule is even timed to the ferries departing Nolsoy. The cozy house is shore front with views across the strait of Torshavn and is steps to walks in the village and hikes on the north side of Nolsoy island. The kitchen is freshly renovated with overly ample amenities. Abundance of kitchenware, spices and extras.

Really cozy apartment in a nice and quite surrounding overlooking the fjord. We had everything we needed and the apartment gets warm quickly with the heating. You just have to be aware that it is quite a drive to get to the spots because the cute little town is at the far end of a road but everything isn’t far on the Faroe.

Really nice and functional apartment. Both larger and brighter than in the photos. The location couldn't be better, in the middle of Torshavn, just behind the parking lot at the harbor. Nice view of Torshavn from the terrace and living room. Super easy and flexible check-in and check-out via precise instructions from Anfinn.

Three of us greatly enjoyed our stay in Hoyvík. The apartment was perfect and made a great base for exploring the Islands. If you want to visit Torshavn I would consider the bus as parking can be problematic during the day. However parking at the apartment was straightforward. The local eateries are also recommended.

Maj has been an excellent host - understanding, guiding and easy to get in touch with. The apartment was as described: clean, tidy and in good condition. Nothing was missing. We would always recommend this apartment to others 😊

We loved our stay here in Tórshavn! The place was extremely comfortable and cozy, and was within walking distance of everything we needed. Parking was easy and we had no issues while staying in town and exploring other islands during the day. The hosts were extremely friendly!

Really nice, large and cozy apartment. Possibility of beautiful walks nearby, while the home is close to Thorshavn. Gudrid welcomed us with open arms, showed us around the apartment. On the kitchen table was a fresh French bread and jam, in the fridge there was cheese, butter, milk and juice. We were in the apartment for 9 days, Gudrid and Jensen were helpful and interested in what we experienced without being intrusive. A really wonderful holiday, where we reached almost every corner of the Faroe Islands. Our highest recommendation

Very well located, easy to reach by car, supermarkets and bakeries nearby. The apartment is spacious, well equipped and has a beautiful view over Torshàvn. Pernilla was very helpful: the Smyril ferry arrived in the middle of the night, and we could immediately get in and catch some sleep.

Excellent stay, the house was very cozy and tidy, we found everything very clean. It was very close to the center. We were going with a baby and Helgi helped us at all times by lending us a crib and high chair.

Perfect accommodation for a stay in the area, I recommend it! Thank you again for the fruit and cereal bar provided :) You have to anticipate the duration of the shower.

If this are looking for a place to stay within walking distance to all the best of Torshavn and yet far enough outside the main areas where driving is stressful, look no further! The flat was spacious, clean, and felt like home for our family of 4. We loved the view (and the sheep) from the window and the cozy feel of the flat. I was pleasantly surprised to discover the beds in the primary room have position control so you can set the sleeping position of your choice. The area is very quiet yet close to restaurants and a grocery store. We especially appreciated access to the washer and dryer. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed to cook meals and make morning coffee. My kids appreciated the roasted nuts and snacks, which were a nice touch but the host. The hosts were very responsive and quickly helped me gain entry after my husband accidentally took the key hiking!

Andreas is a very nice and welcoming host. A lot of information is provided. The accommodation is extraordinary, meticulously clean, with beautiful modern and upscale decor. As in the photos. The view is magical, breathtaking and calm reigns around. It was a very nice stay, thank you!

We loved staying at Benita’s place. Benita left us snacks and drinks upon arrival and was super responsive to any questions. The ocean view out the window was terrific, and the place was great to come back to after long days of walking, hiking, driving around the islands, etc. And it’s just a quick 5 minute drive into Torshavn, or a 20 minute walk. Everything was just as advertised!

My wife and I spent 6 days in this beautiful apartment. Very clean and functional. Lots of space, well equipped kitchen, many appliances, a large Smart TV, but above all great views. The location is great for visiting the Faroe Islands, in a short time you can reach the capital is all the islands. There are not many restaurants nearby, for those you have to move around the capital, which is only 30 minutes away. A well-stocked supermarket is 10 minutes away. We recommend this apartment to all those who want to enjoy the peace of the Faroe Islands with a strategic location but also super quiet.

We had a great stay in Anna-Maria's apartment. The apartment is very nice and we felt very comfortable. The location is great, close to the beach and the city center of Tórshavn is quickly accessible. Anna-Maria and her husband are really nice and always helpful. Absolute recommendation! We would love to come back!

We absolutely loved our stay at this apartment. The apartment was beautiful and well-stocked with everything we could need. We especially appreciated the well stocked kitchen. There were multiple grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance. We also appreciated being able to do our laundry after a day of hiking. I would absolutely recommend this for your stay in the Faroe Islands!
