This is a simply furnished top floor studio apartment w/ a private terrace garden in our 3 storied house. Staying at our place is living like locals. We are located in central Kathmandu with easy access to transportation, stores, heritage sites & tourist center Thamel (5 mints walk). We adopt eco-friendly ways and our place is relatively green and quiet, tucked in the lane, off the main street. Most houses in the neighborhood are of relatives making it more local, family friendly and welcoming.

An outdoor area is presented, featuring a well-maintained stone pathway surrounded by various potted plants. The vibrant orange exterior of the building complements the greenery, while a covered sitting area with wooden beams is visible, providing a shaded spot to enjoy the surroundings.

Centrally located with easy access to sights and scenes of Kathmandu. 15 minutes drive from the airport, 10 minutes drive to the center of the tourist area. Pashupatinath Temple is just about 5 to 7 minutes away. Boudhanatha stupa is also about a 10 minute drive away. The apartment is very comfortably appointed and has a very warm and pleasant vibe to it.

It was a great pleasure to meet Naoko and her family. Before my stay, Naoko thoughtfully sent me a detailed guide introducing the nearby places, which was incredibly helpful. During my stay, whenever I had any questions, she responded promptly and kindly. Every morning, opening the window to see the beautiful scenery was truly healing. The house assistant also did a wonderful job with the cleaning — she even found an earring I had lost for several days! The spotless fans must have taken a lot of effort to clean as well. Everything was just amazing ^ω^. I look forward to meeting 風の家 again next time.

Fantastic hosts!!! 10/10! I was only in Nepal for a short time this trip but they made it very easy to find everything I desired to do and direct me in the right direction! The food was great and the room/bed was very comfortable. Not to mention the host also has their own expedition company which I will be using when I come back! If you're looking for a wonderful place to stay in Katmandu I fully recommend them!

Beautiful place to stay for a vacation. Food is very delicious there so many options to sit in the cafe I mean open air inside of glass cabin and an inside room as well whatever you like everything is there. Amrit was very helpful and responsive in all the matters. All the staff was very attentive and helpful.
