Everything is in walking distance in the small town of Húsavík; whale watching, restaurants, pool, golf course, and hiking/biking paths. Walking from our apartment all the way to the other end of town/GeoSea takes just about 40 minutes. The apartment is on the first floor of the house with a private entrance and free parking.

Built by Dr. Jón Sigurðsson, it once housed Húsavík's first drugstore. Known as Læknishús, Grímshús, and Písa (due to its leaning chimney), it's been called Borgarhóll since 1905, likely after an old sod farm. The site is believed to be where Svavarsson from Sweden built Iceland's first house.
