Located one hour from Omaha in the scenic Loess Hills of Iowa, this newly remodeled studio apartment above the garage has a large deck and a beautiful valley view overlooking my hometown. With a queen bed, a pull-out sofa, full kitchen, shower in bathroom, laundry, and gas fireplace, the apt. is attached by an elevated deck to the main house, my childhood home, (which my husband and I call our "Hilltop Hospitality House"). We are excited to welcome gracious guests to this lovely space.

Conveniently located just 30 minutes from downtown Omaha, as well as within a quick drive to numerous state parks. There is even an external electrical hook up for campers. Finally, our grain bin includes 20 acres of the Loess Hills to explore. We recommend hiking to the top of the ridge for sunset. It's breath taking.

Nice place with enough room for 6. We were attending graduation events in Ames and the drive between Jefferson was a straight route of about 40 minutes. It was a great option to avoid the hotel scene on a busy weekend in Ames!

This Lake View home was awesome!! You immediately feel at home. It has a huge kitchen, big beautiful great room, light filled space, nice beds and has the softest, comfiest, biggest couch to easily seat a whole family! We had a wedding nearby and it was far and above staying in a hotel because we could all be comfortable and together. After an unexpected inconvenience in the house, Brian was very responsive and made everything accommodating for us during our entire stay. I would not hesitate to stay here again when we visit family again in LV!! It’s a beautiful place to enjoy and has everything you need right there for a great getaway!

We enjoyed our stay in the “Cottage”. It reminded us of memories of visiting grandparents as a child. The Cottage is great touch of history, but also includes lots of updated amenities as well. It’s a Cozy little throw back! The Host was very Responsive and Accommodating! We will be back if we drive through again!
