Wow, absolutely stunning views! Mark’s place was very spacious and lots of natural light. We only stayed a night, but wished we could have stayed for the whole weekend! It’s a small stroll to the sea and a little shop that sells some delicious toasties.

A beautifully kept private house which was just what we needed for our getaway over the King’s Birthday weekend. Tracey was responsive and helpful, and accomodated our wonderful Greyhound Meg as part of our stay. Will definitely be back again!

Very clean and tidy modern house and interior. Large wooden floored combined kitchen/ lounge/ living area. Great location at the beachfront with views out over the water with sunrise straight out the lounge window. The two and a half bathrooms was a bonus for our larger group. Well fenced with large lawn out the back.

The house is just a stone’s throw away from the beach, which made it super convenient for daily trips. It was well presented, with a high standard of cleanliness throughout. You can tell the house is well-lived in, as it has every utensil and necessity you could possibly need – making it feel like home. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable and well-equipped spot by the beach for a family. Will definitely stay again!

Back again! It’s a great place with incredible views out to the Barriers. Simple but stylish with plenty of tools in the kitchen to knock up a great feed, and, the best slumber with the comfiest of beds. I reckon we’ll be back!

A great spot for the night. Had everything we needed

We had a fantastic stay at the Mangawhai Trap House! The home was clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. We especially enjoyed baking marshmallows and pizza in the outdoor pizza grill. It was such a fun experience for the whole family. The kids already miss the place! Everything was smooth and easy, and we’d definitely love to come back. Thanks so much for having us!

Very friendly host, very clean and tidy inside, well stocked fridge for brekfast

It was a great stay and the hosts were very friendly and helpful to make sure we had everything we needed. Despite a couple of widespread power outages, the hosts still made sure our stay was as undisturbed as possible. And made sure we had power and a warm stay through bad weather. And they even offered for us to move or cancel before hand knowing the weather and the risks that we due.

Great place, and although the interior design had obviously been very artistically thought out and put together, we felt that it fell a little short on practicality. Worktops both in the kitchen and bathroom were stone tiles which, given time, would most likely give the hosts problems with cleaning. Bathroom door kept creeping open - needs a little hook or something similar. Bed was very comfy, and although the chairs were reasonably comfortable, would have preferred a sofa or couch - but it is clear in the listing that there wasn't one. Shower was great! We also went in the 'shoulder season' so unfortunately, the pool, whilst beautiful and immaculately clean, was far too cold for our old bones! But don't let me put you off - the hosts are very lovely people and their little dog is a darling! Nice place to stay, all in all.

We loved this Ruakaka holiday home. It was so warm and homely with a perfect layout, super clean, comfy beds and we loved the set up of the garage. Even though the weather wasn't great, we jumped in the pool. This place would be so epic in summer. Sarah was the perfect host, super responsive.

Sarah’s home sits in a stunning location. When you walk in the view of the ocean and the bay by Palm Beach and the sailboats against the shimmering water and huge sky is just unforgettable. The house is big and comfortable and well stocked with everything you need. The salt water pool is the perfect temperature and the hot tub is hot and warms you up after swimming. The walking track is right in front of the house. It’s on a steep drive but it’s centrally located on Waiheke and easy enough to get everywhere. We really enjoyed our stay. We were surprised how peaceful the property was, considering we were in Auckland, coming from a rural home it was nice and relaxing, just sitting around enjoying what the property had to offer. Grant was exceptionally proactive and professional with his communication and we felt comfortable if we had any questions, queries or concerns we could rea h out without any bother. Overall great place to meet up with family and lived ones for a get away.

The home was absolutely perfect. The setting was beautiful and the house itself was clean and well kept (not to mention, the beautiful interior decor). The hosts were amazing in their communication, accomodating and exercised flexibility to specific requests of mine, which I hugely appreciated. I had all the information I needed upon checking in and felt very comfortable reaching out with any questions I had on my stay. I had a rather large group stay at the place so the cottage next to the main home was a winner, allowing for space and privacy amongst a big group. The spa pool and plunge pool was a treat with a stunning view and lots of grass area outside for the kids and pets to run around and play. I would highlight recommend this home to anyone looking for somewhere clean, beautiful location with ocean views and friendly and accomodating hosts. Great location with a lovely view! The space was small but cozy—perfect for a comfortable stay. It was especially convenient having a washer and dryer on-site. Just a short walk to the bus stop, which made getting around super easy. Nickie was very responsive and ready to help.

We enjoyed Richards house for a week while spending time in Whangarparoa . It was perfect for us and affordable. We made fresh herb salads from the garden and loved the fresh honeycomb on vogel's toast in the morning. Fresh eggs and strawberries were a great bonus- Loved having all the doors open on a sunny day - a great beachy zen spot. Highly recommended . It's not 5 star swank... however it is down to earth comfortable and a much loved property with everything we needed. Beds very comfortable too.

We loved the little cottage! It had everything we needed. It had lovely personal touches. Grateful we could bring Roxy our little dog! Flowers were gorgeous when we walked in and Jasmijn was such a friendly gracious host (Thank you for the lovely gift basket of goodies too) I now love Kombucha! It was also nice to have an inside / outside fire to use! Thank you Jasmijn and Matt we will matt!

Such a beautiful, serene spot. Absolutely perfect for our group of ladies. Plenty of space, stunning, modern and comfortable interior. Being able to sit out on the deck with the gorgeous view was incredible, as was the hot tub. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay, it was just what we needed and 100% would return and recommend.

Lovely spot and charming little area. Beach was a couple minutes walk away and I enjoyed walking up to the shops via the beautiful beach. The 4 square nearby was really great for groceries and the kitchenette was good for cooking a small meal. It wasn't super clear to me beforehand that it was attached to their house, so that's something to keep in mind, but it wasn't an issue in the end. Robbie and Anette were very nice and friendly and made me feel very welcome. Overall a nice, relaxing experience.

Michael, We would like to thank you for affording us the opportunity to stay at your place. Getting away from the hustle and bustle of life gave us the chance to switch off, relax and take in nature. The views are amazing and getting out on the kayaks paddling around the island and visiting the smaller secluded islands like Pembles island isn’t something you get to experience often. We would also like to acknowledge and thank you for making this booking so easy. Your communication has been outstanding, directions and instructions were clear and we could not have asked for a better host. We highly recommend Micheal and staying at the Tree house at Kawau Island.

Really good place to stay with attentive and responsive hosts. Location is great being 2 minutes from the beach. Served us really well as we found our feet in the area having recently moved here.

We had a gorgeous stay at the barn. My two sons and I had activities planned all weekend but ended up relaxing in the spa looking at the stars, walking around the lovely farm and playing board games in the barn instead of leaving, we would have loved to have stayed longer. We left feeling very peaceful. Chelsea was a wonderful host and we adored the animals we visited or visited us. Thanks so much for having us and we will definitely be back. 😊

Hi Jeanette Thank you for letting us stay at the gorgeous beach house. My family and I really enjoyed our trip despite the bad weather and we would love to return at some point.
