Such a unique stay in the middle of the town. You will never thought of you are actually in the middle of it because you just been transported into a forest. However, you definitely need a car to get here and driving into the place requires maneuvering through narrow alley. It’s a barn with living space on the second floor and car garage on the first floor. If you have luggages and mobility issues going up the stairs, it’s might not be your best choice. It’s a large open space concept studio. The deco is very homey and the bed is so comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped. Nespresso coffee provided is a big plus. The hot tub in the forest is surreal. You will need it after a long hike. The jets are powerful to ease your muscle soreness. One issue we faced was the internet connection is very spotty regardless if you are using your cellphone data or the broadband WiFi provided. If you are using Onedrive, Googledrive or Dropbox the wifi download speed becomes throttled.

This is exactly what we were after for our weekend getaway. Perfect location for our explore inland Taranaki visit. Spotlessly clean, warm and cosy with the key essentials of a great bed and excellent shower. Laura and her husband made us feel welcome (as did the pooches) and we loved our wee break at their place. Highly recommend.

A great spot to get away and get off the grid, without being too long of a drive from nearby New Plymouth.
